No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father

I've often thought that this verse strongly implies that people looking in the Bible for dates and hours are looking for what isn't there. Since Christ the Son is the Word of God (John 1:1), if He doesn't know the date, how would the date be "secret coded" in Scripture?

I know I'm going to die in the next 60 years or so, and face the Lord's judgment. More detail than that wouldn't be beneficial for me.

Once - three days after being pulled off the cross, and yes, the greater part of humanity fais to recognize it.

Romans 9:18
"Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden."

My 12-year-old has opinions, too ... but the Democratic candidates are so embarassing, simply by existing, that it could hardly be worse (for them.) I'm looking forward to Bush & Cheney vs. Dean & Deluca ... it will be a hoot!

Paul said he would return during his lifetime. Today the answer is, not yet. Keep the faith.

People want to feel like they are in control of everything. They aren't. God is. Many people can't handle this, sadly.

Are you assuming that he will return in Indiana? The rest of the central time zone is on daylight savings time then.

Paul said he would return during his lifetime.

So Paul is a liar?

Of course. Most parents know that putting their kid's comments on a national website and advertising them as insightly, wise, analysis... is just dumb.

They must not have 2-year-olds! Mine just turned up with a message about his diaper ...

Most folks would be better off welcoming his message into their hearts rather than waiting for him to show up in their neighborhoods. IMHO

A lot of people thinks he will come depends on your interpretation of scripture and whether you are a pre-trib, mid-trib or post-trib rapture apologist. I personally believe he's coming before the 7 years that will end Satan's rule on earth. But like someone here already mentioned "He'll come when He comes." No one knows exactly for sure when the day will be, we are just called to be diligent and be prepared for it.

I agree with the writer of this article though in saying that it will be soon, but I've been saying that for over 20 years now. Does that make the message any less vital for today's world? Not at all, people and prophets alike have warned people for almost 2000 years that the end will come.

We just have to be diligent. Don't let your lambs loose their oil.

How many times has Jesus returned and we failed to recognize it?

The Bible teaches that he will come only two more times. once to retrieve all believers then anti-christ will rise and rule for awhile. Then Christ returns with the saints, overthrows all governments of the world then estabilshes his kingdom for one thousand years. At the end of the thousand years the final resurection and final judgement, then eternity.

That's it in a nutshell.

When will Jesus come -- no one knows the time and place...and He will come after the Jews accept Him

In the meantime Christians must continue to struggle against evil IN THIS WORLD!

Why do you read them, or do you? Free speech means people can say what they want so why don't you let them? There is no reason for you to deride a person for his religous views, its anti-American in fact.

Sweet. That would make for a cool series of best-selling novels, imho.
