Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge recently committed the political sin of telling the truth. His helpful candor has reopened a much-needed debate over immigration and exposed some of the specious arguments used by those who want to close U.S. borders.

Do you not understand what I was saying in that statement? MEXICO OFFERS NO PRODUCTS OF VALUE to any economy and if they do it is embezzled by their worthless leader. If they had such a thriving economy their illegals would not come northward.

The specious link that protectionist have made between illegal immigration and national security is a lot like the one enviornmentalists made with nuclear power plants. Both arguments set off my BS detector in a big way. Neither position is honest. The goals of the enviornmentalists are clear. With immigration, I don't doubt that there are some misguided FReepers who think that they are being patriotic. Others are camoflaging racist opinions. All are pawns of a greater socialist agenda.

What subjective drivel. Kindly make an argument on your first assertion that allowing just anyone in our country, without supervision or accountability, is safe. And make a second argument that people, who believe that allowing just anyone in our country is not safe, are dishonest, misguided, and racist. And use spell check this time, if you want to be taken seriously.

The criminal habits of the minority are not reflective on the majority, this holds true for illegal immigrants or natural born citizens

Since it's customary for most illegal aliens to use false identification it appears that the majority are in fact criminals. Using counterfeit documents is a crime. The Mexican consulate cards that have been issued for identification purposes is ludicrous, especially when the STANDARD today for foreigners is a machine readable passport.

The problem that Tom Ridge is facing is to implement a workable system that would identify and document the millions of illegal aliens that are using such false identification. Until such a system is put into place all illegal aliens are potential security risks. One way to achieve Ridge's objective would be for every illegal alien who comes forward to earn their citizenship by MANDATORY MILITARY SERVICE. The ones who opt out would be immediately removed. Those aliens wanted for crimes in the sending state would be extradited. In the interim, military style holding facilities would be built on off-shore islands, so as not to bog down the judicial system while processing them.

Ignorant statement yet again, go find a map of the US, locate Florida.

Nine tenths of the State are borders.

Coastlines ARE borders.

Their mere presence is an act of breaking the law, but I was responding to a point other than the one you;re making.

In fact, California issues legal documents to illegal aliens.

Why is it that Mexico does not issue them a machine readable passport, which is subject to background checks and a higher standard?

Happy Holidays.

It's difficult enough trying to figure out why OUR government does or does not do stuff, I can't concern myself with Mexico.

"MEXICO OFFERS NO PRODUCTS OF VALUE to any economy"

Ignorant statement once again, you're on a roll.

Mexico is a member of OPEC, a huge crude oil supplier to the world market. Rich in precious metals, they are a major US supplier of beef and vegetables as well.

Over $130 billion in exports to the US per year.

Meanwhile, the U.S. demand for low-skilled workers continues apace as Americans are unwilling to fill certain jobs in manufacturing, hotels, health care, restaurants, construction and other key economic sectors that would screech to a halt if illegal aliens were suddenly to disappear.

Balderdash! The sad thing is, many Americans believe this pro-illegal immigration propaganda.

Whereas many Latino activists don't even bother trying to camouflage their racist opinions.

Luis no matter what I have to say here you counter but this is not surprising being that I have uncovered your agenda before and it is apparent what your continued agenda is. Before you start refuting everything I say read my links bud...Facts are facts and one thing you CANNOT REFUTE is that legals cost this country more than illegals. Now before you go running off to the moderator calling me a racist, as you have done before, read my links they are fact. Please just come out and tell us you wish to have the borders open. Please do me a favor and stick to your website and do yourself a favor and read the links I have posted. LOL major supplier of beef?? LMAO when is the last time you sunk your teeth in a nice big Mexican rump roast...You are too much. Mexico is a 3rd world nation who has nothing of worth to the U.S. spare me.

Ummmmm no you may wish Florida borders with Cuba and have Miami made into Little avan but unfortunately that has not happened yet. Argue my point with fact for a change not ad-hominem attacks. Take your agenda back to your own website.

"We have no Mexican American terrorist problem."

No? You've never heard of the Latin Kings, Latin Counts, Vice Lords, Ambrose, Rampants, etc., etc., ad nauseum? Their membership is in large part illegal alien criminals.

Take yourself and your family for a walk through what was a once fine American neighborhood that is now over-run by these illegal alien, criminal terrorists.

They'll show you and your whole family the true meaning of terror before they're done with you.

I've called you a racist before?

What name were you using at the time?

"Facts are facts and one thing you CANNOT REFUTE is that legals cost this country more than illegals."

That's not a fact, that's your opinion, and unsubstantiated one at that.

The fact is that the net cost of a legal immigrant is dependent on his or her age upon arrival. Obviously, someone who arrives here legally at the age of 20, will work and pay taxes for many years before beginning to draw government benefits, just like a natural-born citizen.

Source

You see, that's a fact, a SUBSTANTIATED fact, not an uninformed opinion such as you have been posting all along.

Now, I see that the only argument left to you is to put words in my mouth, a sure sign of a defeated debater...I do not want open borders, and have never advocated such a thing anywhere, but I do detest people who promote lies and misinformation...such as you have been busy doing on this forum.

Was that the reason why you were booted out of here under your previous handle?
