[history]
A public memorial was held yesterday in Yuma, Ariz., for U.S. Border Patrol Agent James P. Epling, who died last week after rescuing an illegal Chinese national from the Colorado River and then attempting to capture other fleeing aliens.
Mr. Epling's body was found by Border Patrol divers, who said the agent apparently had stumbled into a 27-foot hole in the river while chasing the other aliens and drowned in the swift moving water. He disappeared Dec. 16 and was located three days later.

Prayers for him and his family. It's tragic that Agent Epling lost his life this way, but he was clearly doing the right thing, and God will reward him.

Any bets on how many, if any, of the invading Chinese will be deported?
This tragedy is followed by the administration announcement that they will be seeking to grant some form of "amnesty" to the twenty million invaders the INS did not catch!
Maybe the "undocumented immigration" panderers should have just spit on the agents corpse, it might have been kinder than what the press is now reporting.

This gentleman died because of invaders entering the country. What's the difference between his situation and someone in the military fighting an enemy?
Prayers to his family. They are paying the ultimate price for cheap labor and votes.

Mr. Epling is a casualty of the War That Won't Be Acknowledged. He should be honored in the top tier for giving his life attempting to save a potential enemy combatant. I can't see myself doing that with other obligations crowding. Not when the president is kicking dirt over the whole problem as if he thinks it will "even itself out".
George Bush is accountable and he must address it. If he can not I nominate Representative Tom Tancredo for the office. Policy must be changed before all resources are sold out. Now.

Ever hear of Kris Eggle? Yes, I remember. Its good to see his parents working to keep his memory alive and bring awareness to the problems we have along the Mexican border.

Ever hear of Kris Eggle? Yep another victim of the government's love of cheap labor. If they really wanted to close that border it would have been done long time ago.

Illegal alien invader "Motor Voter" votes! Pathetic pandering politicians. They don't care about anything but their own personal careers.

Many stories being published all ove the liberal news sites about how the put-upon illegals are fearful of returning home for Christmas due to the Grinchy steep-up in border enforcement. True-to-character, many express hopes of side-stepping security measures by bringing all of their family members here, thus cutting out Fox's middle-men and gaining the holy ground of our pre-paid safety net to take care of any poverty-status diseases they may share with us. Strictly in the spirit of diversity, now. No reason to let a little case of incurable TB get in the way of multi-culturalism, nor all the weird stuff those Other Than Mexicans bring in. Found myself crying as a young man related how his 5-year old daughter wasn't responding to the latest anti-bacterial treatments.
I caught some of their crap on a bus two months ago. It persists while I'm getting tired.
