Does this dumbass from the north think we in the south are so ignorant that all he has to do is come on down here and profess his being a Christian and we'll fall all over the place to support him?
How many abortions has he preformed when he worked for the largest providor of abortions?
How many people in the south will trust this pacifist who would refuse to protect America?
Here in the south we are proud of our fine looking ladies and his is by far the ugliest woman on the planet.
Go back to your little north east liberal backwater and freak out there me intense.

Is this sudden conversion going to make him more trustworthy to the average American voter?

I don't think so.

Doesn't he risk losing 1/2 or more of his left wing base?

"Dean campaign drafts Jesus".

Well Dr. Dean, you'll have to do better than that. I'll stick with someone who lives with Him now -- President George W. Bush. And, Dr. Dean, he wasn't invited to live with President Bush just to win an election.

Nah. They got the memo.

What I find confusing is that Dean told Southerners they should stop voting based on "race, guns, God, and gays" less than two months ago. What am I missing? Not being a Yale grad and all, I'm at a real disadvantage trying to understand the thinking of the great Dr. Howard Dean.

Dean practices Congregationalism, his mother is Catholic, he was raised
an Episcopalian, like his father. Dean's wife and two children are Jewish.

I understand Dean--who is committed to "diversity"--is considering converting
to Islam once he's nominated in order to cover every voter base.

Yes. This is how he plans to penetrate all those Confedrut-flag-draped pickup trucks and get y'all to vote for him.

I don't think it will work, but then, I didn't think anyone would fall for Clinton in '92 either. Gag...

Joe, here's a scary prediction, and I don't like saying it any more than you like hearing it, but here goes...

We're in "The Last Days"...Terrorists have us on the edge of our seats trying to stop the ruination of our way of life (Remember: To STOP the bastards, we have to bat 1.000...THEY only have to be successful one or two times)...

The Antichrist is about to make himself known over in Europe any time now. He'll rise to power NOT by making threats or using Hitleresque heavyhandedness, but by slick talk that makes all the mushbrained socialist Euro-nations feel safe trusting him. According to prophesy,he'll talk ALL NATIONS into turning over every weapon in their arsenal to him in return for world peace.

Now, do you honestly think George W. Bush is going to turn our aresenal over to him?

Not Bloody Likely!

The only way this happens is if Howard Dean (or Hitlery) gets elected, and they can turn our military over to the UN as well.

In the last days, there will be many false prophets...I believe Deanie is attempting to be one by "name dropping" his alleged association with Jesus Christ. A Bush loss in 2004 IS possible if enough Americans can be deceived, and we KNOW that's possible from the elections of 1992 & 1996.

He was a person who set an extraordinary example that has lasted 2,000 years, which is pretty inspiring."

Yup! he is a real believer.

"He's never been the type of person or the type of candidate to make a decision based on the best political strategy,"

Now all the people in the South with the Confererate flags on their pickup trucks will believe this right!!!!

Pah--eeze!!!!

Here are some excerpts from a recent article in New Republic:

HOWARD DEAN'S RELIGION PROBLEM.

Beyond Belief

by Franklin Foer

http://www.tnr.com/doc.mhtml?pt=u4BDXy1QP9wDtyBarRdMvg==

Howard Dean is one of the most secular candidates to run for president in modern history.  Dean himself is frank on this point, perhaps too frank. "[I] don't go to church very often," the Episcopalian-turned-Congregationalist remarked in a debate last month. "My religion doesn't inform my public policy."

When Dean talks about organized religion, it is often in a negative context. "I don't want to listen to the fundamentalist preachers anymore," he shouted at the California Democratic Convention in March. And, when he discusses spirituality, it is generally divorced from any mention of God or church. "We are not cogs in a corporate machine," he preached last month in Iowa. "We are human, spiritual beings who deserve better consideration as human beings than we're getting from this administration."

As Dean has described it in recent months, the dispute over the bike path caused him to break with the Episcopal Church and become a Congregationalist.   Like all American politicians, even in progressive Burlington, he needed a spiritual mailing address. As he shopped around for churches, it was natural that he turned to Congregationalism, a denomination famous for its informality and liberal stances. Last November, Dean told a reporter from the Forward that he liked that "there is no central authority" in the tradition. By the time Dean joined the church, Congregationalists had already authorized the ordination of gay ministers. Yoga is taught in the church. Sermons sometimes make the case for lefty causes, especially the plight of the Palestinians. (Last June, a sermon at Dean's own Congregationalist church blared, "The real violence is the violence of the occupation of Israel to over three million Palestinians living in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem.")

Dean went after the entire category of "fundamentalist preachers" at the California Democratic Convention. When talking about the social issues that matter most to evangelicals, he doesn't even make a pretense of respecting their side. Describing the debate over partial-birth abortion, he told NARAL Pro-Choice America last January that "this is an issue about nothing; it's an issue about extremism." On the subject of civil unions, he has lambasted his opponents for "unchristian" behavior.

"One thing I feel about religion, you have to be very careful not to be a hypocrite if you're a religious person. It is really tough to preach one thing and do something else. And I don't think you can do that."

That last quote should be his campaign slogan.

Having grown up in that church, how he keeps God in the back ground, seems very normal. It always is scary to NE people to see religion pushed into your face. Actions are more important, but I am an old time NE women. My father as a very GOP believer kept "Church and State" on the coffee table. And we knew that they did not mix.Read your countries history. It always worked out badly.

Yes indeed he does consider us to be dumb. I have to tell you there are MANY dumb people in the South that vote democrat, regardless of whom is on the ballot. When a candidate openly uses religion as a way to fool the voters, it does not cross their minds to think twice. Yes, indeed, many are dumb.

And now for words of comfort:

GWB (Bush 43) is not his father (Bush 41).

Bush 41 promised "NO NEW TAXES!" and then betrayed his base by supporting a huge Democrat tax increase that accelerated the recession that began on his watch.

Bush 41 ran an incompetent campaign against duplicitous Clinton. His foggy centrism lost appeal, since it had little focus. His campaign was substantially ineffective as a result.

And, finally, the ultimate word of comfort: Karl Rove. God bless us all, everyone.

Dean's kids are both being raised in a non-Christian faith.

That is just flat-out inconsistent with his claiming to be a commited Christian. Period.

"Not everyone that saith unto me:Lord,Lord, shall enter into
the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth th ewill of the Father which is in heaven."Matthew 7:21. And I believe the
fruit produced by former Gov. who placed children under
custody of unrepentant homosexuals for political gain shall
be found as a corrupt tree trying to bring forth uncorrupted
fruit.(as in Matthew 7:17,18

The former Vermont governor - who does not attend church regularly, but prays daily...

And how does the author know this?

Dean told him?

So we should believe this crap as well as the crap about Jesus being an influence in his life.

This demoncrap POS is like all the other demoncrap P's OS. They use religion as a campaign tool.

And to actually think no one in the "South" (just where the hell is that, anyway?) won't see through his transparent BS is absolutely patronizing and insults my intelligence.

I know many, many dimbulbrats here in the "South" that look at this bozo and immediately have a desire to regurgitate their recent meal and most of them can only ask if this is the best their party can offer.

Dean is a blithering idiot and I find it particulary gratifying that his "South" demdumbrats see it, but have nothing else to choose from.

Even as stupid as most of the dimwitrats are, very, very few of them have expressed any desire to vote for and support Dean, even if he comes "South" with a crucifix on his back and a crown of thorns on his head.

This bunch of demodumbasses that are currently running are the stupidest bunch of morons I've seen come forth in long time.

And I truly thought that Dukakis was the worst.
