In a related story, correspondents of the major networks were miffed when they learned that President Bush was at the Texas ranch all along. The correspondents had journeyed to Baghdad for the Christmas holiday with the expectation that President Bush would pull another "surprise visit" on the troops.

That is SO LIKE Bush to not show up for something like that. Howard Dean would've gone to Baghdad not ONCE but TWICE! Yes, even into a war zone (that he hates and would've prevented in the first place through brilliant, crackerjack diplomacy and a winning smile) where any brave, Iraqi resistance fighter woul've been tempted to fire a rocket or set up an ambush for the head enchilada of the Great Satan. That's just how Howard Dean is.

Now THAT'S sarcasm!

I heard last year that the reason President Bush spends Christmas at Camp David and not at his Texas ranch is so that his Secret Service folks can spend some time with their families at Christmas.

What a classy and thoughtful man.
