And people wonder why the court system is so screwed up. Giving people like this any credence whatsoever might have something to do with it.

What absolute idiocy this is. 2-year-olds fall down and get bruises, or sometimes stitches. Duh. Maybe the kid could be in Band-aid or antiseptic commercials for a few weeks ... the mother should be fined until she screams for wasting the public's time and money on this nonsense.

She's suing the city for her own dumb kid's klutziness? ...and since her kid is such a valuable commidity, she should have been keeping a better eye on him.
The whole case is stupid. I guess she "forgot" that kids run into things and get hurt.
To: TheMom
I have my share of scars and don't sue. This mother is trash and the kid would be best living with wolves.

This accident was preventable had the railings and safety measures been correct at this park, " Mader wrote in her claim
___________
No Mader, the accident was preventable had you been supervising him properly. If he's that fragile, why in the hell does she even let him play in a "dangerous park".

Kids that small have oversized heads ad soft skulls. Money should be the least of the birthing unit's worries.

beyond absurd?Well, they could have painted the green railing white, of course that wouldn't work in winter, ....well maybe brown or orange,...except that wouldn't work in fall, ...how about grey?...nah that might be hard to see against a sidewalk, expecially on an overcast day...well, I'm sure if we think this through we can find a color that covers every possible contingency so that no one EVER gets hurt!
Who IS this litigious POS. I want her name plastered all over and want her embarrased so that she's afraid to show her mug in public! The Death of Common Sense.

Was this accident avoidable? Probably. It's not like every other kid in town is sitting next to that green fence, rubbing their head from crashing into it. Kids at that age hurt themselves because they're not careful. That being said, it may not hurt to repaint that fence so as to minimize these kinds of incidents.

When our son was two he tripped over something at a local landscape/plant store. We took him immediately to the doctor. Doctor told us, "If this was a girl, I would suggest stitches. Since this is a boy, I would like close the wound with a butterfly bandage (he gave us several for the road). The scar will give your son character when he gets older.
BTW - When we returned to pick up our items at the store, they offered not only to pay our medical bill but give us our selected items free of charge. We denied both offers.
Accidents are accidents!! Greedy trash is greedy trash!
