As far I'm concerned there is no such thing as "first" true love. Sure there was Dan, you married her.. I am convinced that if you had another FIRST TRUE LOVE, you'd know it..Trust me, and it didn't have to happen before your 21st birthday, it can still happen, as long as you live and breath.. :)

It took me a long time, but I have finally realized that my first (and only) true love is someone that became a close friend when I was far from a little kid, he is my husband.
Like any normal girl I fell in and out of "love" including getting married and divorced in my 20s. And there is one other "love" that I still occasionally think about, but the last time I saw him, there was no spark at all.
And not only does my love share my love - he shares my love of cooking!!!!!
Happy New Year with much love and hugs from me and mine!!!

SEVEN WONDERS OF THE WORLD
A group of students were asked to list what they thought were the present "Seven Wonders of the World." Though there were some disagreements, the following received the most votes:
1. Egypt's Great Pyramids
2. Taj Mahal
3. Grand Canyon
4. Panama Canal
5. Empire State Building
6. St. Peter's Basilica
7. China's Great Wall
While gathering the votes, the teacher noted that one quiet student hadn't turned in her paper yet. So she asked the girl if she was having trouble with her list.
The girl replied, "Yes, a little. I couldn't quite make up my mind because there were so many."
The teacher said, "Well, tell us what you have and maybe we can help."
The girl hesitated, then tread, "I think the Seven Wonders of the World are:
1. To see
2. To hear
3. To touch
4. To taste
5. To feel
6. To laugh
7. And to love."
The room was so quiet you could have heard a pin drop.
A gentle reminder that the most precious things in life cannot be built by hand or bought by man.
"Each day comes bearing its own gifts. Untie the ribbons."

What a timely post, I'm currently trying to track down my true love from high school. Last time I heard she got married, but it's been many years and who knows if she still is. Only problem is I don't know what her married name was/is. I haven't been able to track down her parents and all the old phone numbers I have are no good. If anyone has the ability to find out anything I'll love ya forever.
Name (before marriage) Lisa Dorfman
graduated from Lakeside High School in 87 or 88 in Georgia, Dekalb/Atlanta.
Anyway, I shall keep trying............................

Yo, I have a soup recipe I'd like your opinion on. Xena's Mom gave it to me a few weeks back, and it's some of the best soup I've ever tasted. (Bacon can testify to the power of the soup.)
Taco Soup
Brown one to one-and-a-half pounds ground beef or turkey with a chopped onion. Drain.
Drain one can kidney beans, one can pinto beans, and one can corn; add to meat.
Drain two cans stewed tomatoes and one can Ro-Tel tomatoes; add to meat/bean mix.
Add one envelope taco seasoning and one envelope dry ranch dressing mix.
Add four cups water. Simmer.
If desired, serve over smushed tortilla chips.
This gets better over the second and third days, especially if you drop in another envelope of taco seasoning, maybe some more corn or beans, and a little more water. MMMMMM!
