Tell The Media: NO on Valerie "Plame", YES on Memogate!!! (memos and judges action alert)

Tell The Media: NO on Valerie "Plame", YES on Memogate!!!

It is outrageous that the media continues to focus on the Valerie Wilson "Plame"/ Robert Novack "non-story", while they ignore the illegal actions exposed by the Democratic memos leaked to the press by patriotic Senate staffers.

The Democrats have been caught, red-handed, forsaking national security for political gain and illegally filibustering qualified minority judicial nominees for political gain.  The media has ignored these stories.  Enough is enough!

Here are a few simple steps you must take to express your outrage and get the word out.

1)  Open the "Write for W" webform for a simple "letter to the editor" submission form by clicking here.

2)  Compose a Letter to the Editor telling your paper to stop beating the dead "Plame" horse and to start covering the real stories (memogate and judgesgate).  If you are short on time, here is a sample letter you can use (remember, original letters that are short and sweet are best):

Letter to the Editor

As a United States citizen, I am outraged that the media continues to focus on a non-story -- the naming of a CIA analyst whose identity was no secret to begin with -- while all but ignoring two of the most important stories of the year.  The first is how the Democrats on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence have been caught plotting to use the awesome power of that committee as a political weapon against the president, forsaking national security for political gain.  The second story is how the Democrats have been caught selling filibusters to powerful left wing interest groups, unconstitutionally filibustering well-qualified minority judicial nominees to slavishly please their ideological allies.  Instead, the media has focused on the Democrats' deceitful tactic of blaming the Republicans for catching them!

This is outrageous and despicable -- merely further evidence of left wing media bias.  The media will run with any story that hurts the GOP, but when the Democrats are caught jeopardizing the safety and security of every American for mere political points, there is a blackout.  Despicable!

3)  Now send your letter!

Thank you!

You can take further action here.

Happy New Year!

Media bias bump. Here are my thoughts.

For those who are using to take up for these news media organizations, I should let you know that there continues to be a lack of even-handedness in terms of coverage by CNN and the Big Three Networks.

I have researched this issue for the last several years and it continues to show favortism by these nerws organizations towards Democrats and liberal, progressives and moderates and against Christians, conservatives and Republicans.

These people, (CNN,ABC,CBS,NBC,et'al) are not our frineds, they are our enemies and those who insist on taking up for them really need to rethink their positions if you expect to get along with anyone here at FR.
Regards.

And while they're at it, maybe they could find out who the Beeb's CIA leaker for the yellowcake stories was. Inquiring minds want to know.

Better yet... find out which of Valerie Wilson's entrenched partisan "friends" in the CIA plotted to undermine the administration and send partisan Democrat Joe Wilson on the partisan mission to smear Bush in any way possible.

Inquiring minds want to know. . .

Of course, investigating the Democrats on the Senate Select Intelligence Committee will probably lead to that answer as well. Sending Wilson to make up dirt on Bush is clearly within the ambit of the Democrats' larger plan to use intelligence as a campaign tool for the Dems.

Excuse me, but outing a CIA agent is a crime worthy of investigation. Writing a political planning memo is free speech, embarrassing maybe, but definitely not a crime. Hence, nothing to investigate.

The CIA agent leak is potentially more serious than Clinton's perjury. It is also more damaging since it appears to have been retribution for her husband speaking the truth and outing an administration lie.

You really have no idea what you are talking about. Why don't you read up on the issues before commenting?

Fact: Plame has not been an "active" agent for at least ten years; she is an analyst -- a desk job. She's a pencil-pusher, nothing more.

Fact: Everyone in the beltway knew her identity; it was no secret. Nobody was "outed".

Fact: The memo we are talking about discusses the launch of a sham investigation for the sole purpose of doing opposition research for the DNC (using classified information and the resources of the intelligence committee), and then using a loophole in the committee rules to attach it (unsubstantiated or verified) to the main report. Aside from being a crime under 18 U.S.C., it is also a violation of two Senate rules of ethics and one rule of the Committee itself. Free speech does not protect those who incite the commission of a crime or "bad acts." Every law student knows that.

Fact: The memo also advocates the unlawful (violates 50 U.S.C. and Committee rules) verbal disclosure of classified material.

Do your homework.

If you're going to repeat this chorus with all the other leftists, at least fix the meter and the rhyme first.

We've given up hope that any of you will fix the false assertions. Those are only good for a joke.

Where do you get your facts? Plame met her husband in 1997ish when he had a National Security clearance as he was on the NSC staff. At least that's what I have read on the subject. I can't seem to find a list of folks in the beltway who knew Plame's occupation. Can you provide that?

Anyone have a copy of that "undercover" woman's 2-page photo spread in Esquire? This story is all smoke and mirrors. And memogate is TWO scandals, Memogate1 and Memogate2 (one is the judicial blockade and the other is using national security information to bash the President).

It was Vanity Fair, and I bet you could not identify the woman in a line-up. But she wouldn't pose for one either.

I thought it was discovered that one of the people in the CIA who was involved in this Wilson thing was a former Clinton admin appointee ..??

Well .. I wouldn't equate writing a planning memo to writing a memo plotting to USE a govt position to undermine the President. Plotting to commit a crime is a crime.

Next .. the admin didn't lie .. and to this day the UK still stands by the yellowcake info. The President only quoted what the UK told them .. there is no way you can make a lie out of that. For you to say otherwise is just pathetic.

The yellowcake affair with Wilson was done for one purpose only .. to STOP THE USA FROM GOING TO WAR. Why ..?? Well .. the Clintons were just trying to protect their corrupt friends, the French, the Germans and the Russians.

Also .. if you look at the activities of the Clintons during the runup to the war, you will find they were globetrotting (in the pretext of selling Hillary's book). After schmoozing with all the leaders of the world WHO DID NOT SUPPORT THE WAR (because they were involved in corrupt dealings with Saddam) .. the Clintons ended up in the UK. While they were there, they attended a cocktail party with Tony Blair. Clinton told Blair that if Blair continued to hold on to his partnership with Bush (to go to war) .. Blair was going to lose his job.

Now .. why would Clinton make such a statement if he didn't already know about the Wilson plot, and how it was intended to make fools out of Bush and Blair ..??

However .. as usual .. the liberals have misunderestimated the President and the PM of the UK.

Remember .. the Clinton regime believed that the way to world peace was to SHARE WITH EVERYONE THE SAME MISSLE AND WAR TECHNOLOGY .. thereby eliminating the need for war because everyone would have the same stuff. Anyone who believes that idiocy is an idiot themselves. And .. Ms. Albright is on record as making that statement for her admin.

I guess Blair made his choice, because when he came to speak before our Congress. During that speech, Blair pretty basically said that America is not be required to SHARE it's military technology with the rest of the world, and anyone who thinks so is outdated in their thinking. I believe this was a BREAK in the Clinton/Blair relationship.

Sooooo .. as you can see .. the Clintons continue to try to undermine President Bush (as close to Treason as you can get - along with the Senate's memos) .. while also trying to CYA. I believe this investigation will expose the Clinton holdovers within the govt who are there for one purpose only .. to do whatever the Clintons want .. which is to try to get President Bush impeached! The Clintons want power AT ANY COST!

These people are sick (the Clintons and their goons), and for you to even imply that you support them speaks volumes about you.

On July 14, Robert Novak wrote a column in the Post and other newspapers naming Mr. Wilson's wife, Valerie Plame, as a CIA operative. That wasn't news to me. I had been told that — but not by anyone working in the White House. Rather, I learned it from someone who formerly worked in the government and he mentioned it in an offhand manner, leading me to infer it was something that insiders were well aware of. -- Clifford May, writing in National Review Online

Also, Novak admitted that he contacted the CIA and they did not give him sufficient (by Novak's standards) reason not to reveal Plame's name or occupation.

Look, if you're going to be a contrarion, at least do a minimal amount of research.

A guy named Alan Foley was Plame's boss at CIA - Foley quietly "retired" in August. Here's another thread on this subject:
