Isn't he supposed to be a conservative?

No, he's a populist who really doesn't believe in much of anything politically speaking.

The second amendment does not provide protection of just the family. It is intented for the protection of the entire country. More reading of words that aren't there and skipping ones that are.

He calls himself independent. He swings about 90% right, 10% left. He's done some really good work that no 'reporter' would have done.

I agree with O'Reilly on a lot of things but sometimes he is just ignorant and sickening. This is one example of his ignorance. Another is his support of Gay's adopting kids. You can't tell me that that doesn't cause even more emotional problems for these children. Has anyone ever thought that maybe gays are nature's way of saying those people shouldn't be reproducing, which means they shouldn't be raising ANY kids.

"I believe in the Second Amendment"

If the dork believed in what the 2nd Amendment stood for, He would now exactly why the people who founded this country put in the USC

Not gonna happen Billy boy because there is no political will to reinstate the AWB. The Rats still remember what happened to them in 1994. HAHA...

Say hello to the sunset -- Bill.

The segment was a rerun from a month or so back. Larry Pratt missed a good opportunity to educate BO that the "assault weapons" in question are not assault weapons at all, but semi-automatic civilian knock-offs of military type weapons which were banned simply because of their looks.

Larry might have also pointed out that, at the time the Second Amendment was ratified, private citizens owned cannon and, indeed, warships, the most powerful weapons of their day.

It's OK. I would still like to hear his explanation of just what constitutes an "assault weapon". A Henry rifle would qualify, no doubt. 13 rounds, ex-military issue...

Ask yourself who hates O'Reilly more than you...liberals, that's who. Look into why and maybe you'll realize why he's a force for good in our nation.

" His gun rant did it for me."

His gun rant, his anti-lawyer tirades and his border protection using American military (totally illegal and with good reason).

He is a pompous jerk.

So should citizens have nukes now too because they're the most powerful weapons our government has? A lot has changed since those days.

Hmm, now someone's against O'Reilly because they're pro-lawyer and anti-protecting our borders. There's a site called DU you might find more to your liking.
