NASHUA, N.H. -- Democratic presidential hopeful Howard Dean on Friday cited the higher terror alert and the number of U.S. troops killed in Iraq in arguing that he was right to say Saddam Hussein's capture didn't make America safer.

"They got all excited, but here we are," Dean told a town-hall meeting. "We've lost 10 more troops and F-16s are escorting foreign passenger jets into our air space because we're now more worried than we were before."

Disagree vehemently that we're not safer since we caught Saddam. Within hours we grabbed dozens of Iraqis from the info in the briefcase. Why are we not safer?

We've lost 10 more troops {since SH's capture}

I do belive that's a lower rate than what we suffered 8 months into post-nazi-germany.

He's been listening to too many Dave Matthews records.

That's because Dean is a world-class a**hole.

we are safer, but what Dean and his followers (I don't even call them voters anymore, he is like the reverend Jim Jones) want is "absolute, total safety, everywhere at all times". and of course, the way they would achieve that is through capitulation.

at some point, we are going to have to start hitting back, because believe me, there are plenty of stupid americans who will buy this crap if its left out there and is not rebutted.

I'm reading this and finding it hard to believe. This is so wrong it makes me want to vomit. Using the number of american troops dead and the latest terror alert to say "I told you so???" Absolutely sick and depraved. And then taunting the president NOT to do what him and all the leftists have been saying they want! It scares me if the American people don't see how wrong this is. There is not ANY reason to believe President Bush will do anything at all like what this left wing nerd is raving about.

but I honest to goodness think he's VERY dangerous

Amen, sister! He scares the liver right out of me.

I quit my job as of the end of December, and am looking forward to working hard to defeat whichever RAT secures the nomination.

I'm not sure whether to refer to my resignation as mid-life crisis, or semi-retirement. In my spare time, I'm going to be a substitute teacher.

With that reasoning we may as well eliminate our military. And the police. And jails.

Dean is using the deaths of our fighting men and women in an attempt to score political points.

That's despicable.

Support our troops: finish up in Iraq and bring them home

Since our enemy is less wimper than Dean, in order for us to "finish up in Iraq", I suspect we will continue to use Iraq as a base of operations longer than our presence in:
Kosovo,
Bosnia,
-or-
Germany.......

Capturing Saddam and grabbing his suitcase full of terrorist contacts has indeed made us safer.

FINISH UP in Iraq, yes. But don't bring them home! until that's accomplished.
