STUDENT IN CALIFORNIA WHO FOUNDED CONSERVATIVE CLUB IS UNDER ATTACK (My Headline)

According to a recent article in the Washington Times, a high school student in California who recently founded the 50-member "Conservative Club" at his school, is under attack by the school's liberal faculty and administration, as well as student body members.

The student, Tim Bueler, "said he had received threats from other students after writing an article for the club newsletter calling for a crackdown on illegal immigration."

What was the school administration's response? "His principal and a campus police officer suggested that he stay home from his California high school for a few days."

Bueler says his club's staunch conservative views (the club has hosted speakers from groups like Eagle Forum and the National Rifle Association) inspired threats from which teachers have refused to protect him. He also reports that faculty members stand by and do nothing to help him when these threats occur.

Some FACULTY members even started a public campaign against his group; one teacher called Tim "a Nazi," while another described the club as "a bunch of bigots." In a parody of the club's newsletter, biology teacher Mark Alton called on students to "take a stand against the neoconservative wing- nuts who call themselves Americans."

Forty school staff members signed a letter, co-authored by Alton, to the Santa Rosa Press Democrat newspaper opposing Bueler's group's conservative statements; Alton (a TEACHER) stated, "What bothers me is the extreme views that border on racism or homophobia." This, about a club that includes membership of female students and Latinos and other minorities.

Well, so much for free speech in American high schools -- at least, if you're conservative. We need to STAND UP for these brave, patriotic students -- and we've set up a way to do just that.

Things have gotten so bad that Bueler's Conservative Club has invited students to call its "liberal assault hot line" to report whether they've been "verbally assaulted for being conservative." Bueler even thought about taking his principal's advice and leaving the school, but decided to take a stand and say, "No way." He says his inspiration to uphold American ideals comes from his late grandfather, Mark Bueler, a Pearl Harbor survivor and lifelong patriot.

We need to join him in his stance. Go to our site below to send a message to Rancho Cotate Principal Mitchell Carter, asking him to tell the teachers at his school to stop harassing Tim Bueler for his conservative beliefs, and to protect his right to express those beliefs - including the protection of his physical person:

Fearing for the safety of a child presently under attack?

No, belittling the entry because he was not being attacked physically, as if the attacks by teachers and students was no big deal.

(If that was not your intent, then forgive my outburst.)

Poly Wit,this is the first time I have seen this one posted.

I do know there have been three other articles from 3 different sources posted.

Different versions of this story have been posted.

Tempers flare over Rancho Cotate club

A Dissenting Student Hounded For His Views

Conservative Club on a Liberal Island

Take a look at the other ones, the more the better.

This is an ongoing problem which is getting national attention, as it should.

Tim Bueler has been interviewed on KSFO twice, once with Melanie Morgan on the phone, and once with Brian Sussman where Tim actually went to the studio for the interview

He will be speaking at the Third Annual Education Conference "Equipping for the Future" put on by the Eagle Forum in February.

Phyllis Schlafly will be there also.

I will be posting a thread soon to advise people of the event.

I have heard that teachers become liable for lawsuits if they intervene in fights. That's what cops on campuses are for. Unfortunately, cops can't be everywhere at once...

Is Mexico racist for having very little immigration? No, of course not! It's only white nations that permit _massive_ immigration that are considered racist.

Fox wants us to let all his people come to our Country but guards his Southern borders quite zealously. Try to sneak into Mexico from the South and you WILL get shot. Funny that Fox doesn't want us to protect our border.

And NO I am NOT saying we should shoot the criminal invaders. I had to say that, because when I mention this hyprocricy of the Mexican Government some people take pot shots at my comments.

Does anyone deny that European Americans are being Ethnically Cleansed in their own land?

That is a good point, I never thought of it that way. That is what is happening here!
