Trolls have a tendency to post anti-conservative type threads and never post a single reply. This one was one. We have many each day. It's pretty much as the AM said. If you read enough of them you see a pattern.
It's as if they take a deep breath and expel some vitrolic piece or opinion. Only by the time they take the second breath...the oxygen deprivation allows them to conveniently forget about what they had just posted...let alone reply.

You're right, although I didn't simply assume it in a vacuum - it would be the umpteenth time this week that this has happened. But I don't notice you attempting to participate in the discussion either. The topic's still open. What do you think about it?

The mods gave him a few minutes (probably having Jim check the ISP), I don't know exactly how long, so he had every chance to return or post elsewhere.

PS: can you show me a zotted therad today that was "inappropriate" in the eyes of our pc police?
This thread brings up several good issues the republicans have to face. Most of the ideas have been posted in some form or another by "acceptable" freepers.
You seem caught up in superficiality and are missing substance.

I AM participating in the discussion. Haven't you noticed, the zotbots have captured the thread. Some of us want to be on record opposing having kool aide on the menu. (BTW I think in Jonestown it was FlavorAide, but who's paying attention. :)

Don't know who 67 is intended for.
I understand the guy was banned and tried to return without permission. I asked if 1-2-3 was previously banned and the question has not been answered.

You're right. FReepers who have actually been here for a couple of days have much more leeway than a newbie. That's the way it should be.

Some of us would rather shoot ourselves in the foot, than blow our brains out.
I have spoken today with dozens of Conservative Republicans from around the Country, and most are threatening to withhold both financial support and votes. In a letter I have penned to the Washington Post, I explained that illegal immigration is a core issues that cannot be bargained for political profit.
In my mind, Bush's move today was as bad as it gets, except for switching positions on abortion -- which would destroy the Party.
I will meet tonight with several conservatives, including one of Bush's and the RNC's top fundraisers. I expect the meeting will have the same flavor that many of my conversations had today.
This was a gross political miscalculation that may end his presidency. (Write that down)
To: Pan_Yans Wife
BTW, both of those were very good posts. Maybe we should let the guy back in. Still don't know if this poster was previously banned.

No, I mean the topic the poster broached. Is the Republican party dead due to a swing to the left? If you really think it's worth discussing (and unworthy of a zot) then perhaps the best way to show that is to keep it on-topic and alive. Heck, I'll help.
To: ShadowDancer
Actually it reads more like a suicide note where a loser dad takes the gutless easy way out, shirking his responsibility to work, and leaving behind a family to fend for themselves.
How many times today have we heard the whiny, pouty, sit at home quitters. "Gee, if I don't get 101% my way, I'm gonna sabotage it all, I'll shoot a hole in the lifeboat, I will I tell ya..."

I understand your hesitation about Zotting too soon. However, it isn't in your hands. You are still free to debate the issue, if you can find someone willing to refute One,Two,Three's position, and then you can support it. If you wish.

Who died and made you ZOT Thread Monitor?
You are quite pushy IMHO.

Well since "the way it should be" is defined by the owner, you are probably correct. I disagree. A newbie should be held to the same standard as everyone else.
If this thread is from a newbie, it's a good piece and deserved a hearing no matter how many minutes he'd been registered.<p.I've been posting since Aug, 98 and there is no wisdom in seniority, present company excluded, of course.
