May I remind you that we are not I-raq, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iran or North Korea. We are the United States and we are better than these dictatorships and tribes with flags.

I think you have your priorities confused.Sorry, son, you do.

I'm not your son.
If you're interested in learning to speak Arabic, by all means keep up the line of thinking you've evidenced on this thread.

I'm not your son. And your line of thinking is what I expect out of a four-year old. There are plenty of folks on this forum who agree with me and all the insults you sling in my direction just reinforce your apparent lack of maturity and inability to control your sensitive emotions. Grow up and join the adult community, tiger.

I don't judge the validity of my thinking based on the number of people I can dredge up on this forum (or anywhere else) who agree with me. Is this a popularity contest?
I rather look at the situation and judge it on its own merits.
What I see in the video is un-uniformed combatants (ie. terrorists) preparing a missle launcher, and their presumed target (the shooters) doing what comes naturally.
Your Clintonian need for consensus -- and the approval of others-- is telling, in and of itself. There are people (like you, for instance) who will talk and wring their hands and worry about whether killing people who have no regard for them is just. There are campuses full of your ilk (you mention taking classes in the rules of war... oh, please...).
I don't have any concern for the smoking Iraqis. Never have, never will. I'm not a liberal academic, nor am I French.
Toodles, Professor.

Why couldn't the bad guys hear the sound of the helicopter? Are they that quiet?
I believe the NVA nickname for the Cobra was "Whisperng Death"....

Ack,Where did the Video GO?!?!
To: OXENinFLA
Indeed ... In fact, I haven't been able to find the video in its entirety anywhere except ABC (where you have to have a RealOne subscription in order to see it ... fooey).
Any full-clip links would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, that's still not the whole video. I saw the whole thing on my local TV station on the 11 o'clock news last Friday and there is much more video showing the targets hanging out by the trucks, one of the targets running over to where the tractor eventually shows up, then dropping a bangalore (or other tubular explosive) for a roadside bomb or (more likely) an RPG launcher, going back to the trucks, then finally we see the rest in the current video clips being posted.
it really needs to be viewed in more context than the short clip that continues to be posted. thank you for pointing that one out, though.
