He was, in a word, biased. If that's a crime in the radio world, they'll have to can all the hosts at KFYI. Goyette had points. I was neither for going to war nor completely opposed. I think there were some reasons for going to war but whether they were enough of a reason is really what Goyette was examining. As for Giddy and Shrill, they two who replaced him, I have started listening to FM on the way home...

Want to show your ignorance of history again in another example? No thanks, I'm satisfied with the examples I've already given. Prickly one-liners are not the same as meaningful argument.

I find myself listening to 96.9 a lot more. I find I can't stand listening to Rush, Hannity, or anyone on KFYI after either... Except maybe from 5-10 a.m... I like Bruce Jacobs and the guy (forgot name) who comes on after him. At ten I switch...

Who? like Brian Whitman or Alan Colmes? I don't know about Colmes so much, but Whitmas is really funny (very rare in a lib). I've never heard this guy.

Now in the absence of a meaningful Iraqi role in the 9/11 attack and the mysterious disappearance of those fearsome Weapons of Mass Destruction, there might be some psychic satisfaction to be had in saying, I told you so! That is straight out of the Leftist talking points. He doesn't sound like a conservative to emit crap like that. Furthermore, such pathetic whining about how those unfair meanies "gagged" him because of Bush money is just the same old Lefty b*tch and moan.
Perhaps he's one of those talking heads that gravitate to opposing what they feel is the prevailing opinion - just so they can yell for publicity as an "independent" thinker (O'Reilly does this often).
Ultimately, it sounds like that network decided he was bad for business and sacked him. Such is life in a free market.

He really clouds the issue in the article by comparing Pearl Harbor to the Iraq war Hmmmm I am thinking you need to read that article again.

Of course you are right. After all, Japan does still have an emperor. Just ignore their democratically elected parliament....

I was and still am in favor of the war, and I listen to Charles Goyette all the time. He is a good man, a great talkshow host and I enjoy his show. Sadly, he is the only good show left on KFYI, a radio station that is absolutely unlistenable anymore.

The examples proved your ignorance on the subject-examples that perfectly provedmy point that democracy building in Japan and Germany worked becuase democracy once flourished in those nations just a generation before the rise of Hitler or Tojo.
Do you want me to bring up examples of nation building pre WW2 in Central America/Haiti, areas that did not have a democratic foundations where once US Marines departed they reverted to strongman dictatoriships? Phillipines post WW2?
The Phillipines is a perfect example of how democracy to work it must be a grass roots effort. It barley works now but they did it all by themselves so the will to make it works continues (and they did it without any American help).

I agree. I got to the point where listening to Charles whine everyday was more than I was willing to listen to.
I would change the station and listen to Hugh Hewitt for some intellegent conversations.
Charles' continuous whinning and griping and negativity was devisive especially in a time when Americans are fighting in a war. It envoked memories of the Vietnam protestors and I'm in no mood for that.
I understand we have freedom of speech in this country and I choose to exercize mine now.
I certainly hope his contract is NOT renewed. Maybe he can find a job on the new democrat whine radio station if and when they get one. I'm sure like the rest of the democrats, he will soon turn people off on that station also.
