Vandals shoot paintballs at police cars, bystander
By Shaun Byron
Daily Press & Argus
The Michigan State Police post in Brighton and a 40-year-old man from Hartland Township were the victims of vandals sometime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday.
Some state police vehicles were shot with a paintball gun during the day, said Therese Fogarty-Cremonte, a sergeant with the Brighton post of the Michigan State Police.
Shortly after 1 p.m., a man was shot in the chest with a paintball from a vehicle. Police say it was the same shooter.
A vehicle pulled behind the post, 4803 Old U.S. 23, and fired a number of shots at a couple of squad cars and a SWAT vehicle.
"It wasn't a very prudent thing to do," Fogarty-Cremonte said of the paint splattered on the vehicles.
The vehicle then left and headed north on Old U.S. 23. It pulled into the parking lot of Prime Time Rental & Sales LLC in Brighton, and someone in the vehicle shot a man in the chest.
The man said he was talking to another male when a black car pulled up and someone inside shot him with the gun. Police say the victim wasn't injured in the attack.
The Livingston County Sheriff's Department responded to the call and is also investigating the incident.
State police are offering a cash reward to anyone with information leading to the arrest of the person or people responsible for the attacks.

Good way to get shot.
When I was a kid there was a cop that used to sleep in his patrol car over at the lumberyard. Some kids snuck up on the car threw ropes over the vehicle, ran the rope thru the door handles and secured the ropes preventing the doors from being opened, they then painted the windows with house paint. Just before running away they beat on the hood to wake the stunned copper.
I dont know what that cop told the chief.

Shoot back. A couple hours with the ammo in the freezer first will help to make the point.
Or so I, uh, read in a book somewhere...

I'm guessing the statute of limitations has passed, but we'll keep it our secret anyway.

"I don't know anyone stupid enough or otherwise to shoot at a police stations and policemen in daylight."
But you know policemen who would? Unless you have evidence to the fact, you shouldn't go around accusing anyone much less a policemen for shooting at police stations or policemen.
