"I bet that is a newsmax article"

I am not sure what you mean by that, but... the ap headline reads as if Dean was unfairly attacked:

Republican blasts Dean for knocking President Bush

..."Please tone down the garbage, the mean mouthing, the tearing down of your neighbor and being so pompous," Ungerer told the former Vermont governor and Democratic front-runner. "You should help your neighbor and not tear him down."

"George Bush is not my neighbor," Dean replied.

"Yes, he is," Ungerer said, to which Dean responded: "You sit down. You've had your say and now I'm going to have my say."

GASP! The ap article makes no mention of the 'love thy neighbor stuff'! Go figure.

If it's from Newsmax, that means the story will get zero play on the networks, and perhaps a few seconds on Brit's show. I wonder how the Democrats in the room reacted--did they cheer Dean for telling the Republican to shut up?

although last month he admitted he sometimes gets so angry he needs to be physically restrained.

That's a little scary.

During the debates this Fall, President Bush should just look over to Howard and ask, Why are you so angry?

In my daughter's childrens catechism it asks "Who is your neighbor?" Answer: "All men are my neighbor."

Dang! He's imploding too soon. He's gonna lose the Dems nomination if he keeps this up. Then, Pres. Bush MIGHT actually have to work to win the election.....Nah, any of the nine stooges will do. Although, anyone think this might just be the kind of opening that Hitlery might be looking for to jump into the 2004 race?

According to Reuters, Dean railed, "George Bush has done more to harm this county right here with unfunded mandates, standing up for corporations who take over the farmers' land, making it impossible for middle class people to make a real living, sending our kids to Iraq without telling us he truth first about why they went."

Goody.. keep it up.. Mr. Dean....

Whenever we have a new President, the Chinese, North Koreans, and others do things to test him. That is all part of the "game" -- you challenge an adversary over some situation and see how he reacts. Then you have a pretty good idea about what you can and cannot get away with. Dean is so unstable -- I'm afraid he could start a war over some minor incident or insult. People with big egos and bad tempers cannot tell the difference between a mere insult and an attack. If the Democrats wind up with a Dean-Clark ticket to foist on us, and they win, we will all find out soon what a nuclear winter is like.

Howard Dean has a classic 'littleman' complex, and a hot temper is part of the raft of flaws. If this maniac is ever in a televised debate with the President, it will not be difficult to draw him into one of several possible blinds where his temper will take over and leave the American people to gasp at the sickness before them.

The episode marks the first time that the short-fused Democrat has lost his temper in public during the campaign, although last month he admitted he sometimes gets so angry he needs to be physically restrained. "If someone punches me I am apt to chase them down, and I need to be restrained by the people who know better and have been in the game longer than I have," Dean told MSNBC.

Don't they have special muzzles for rapid dogs.......

The Dems have outdone themselves in dragging this one up from the minor leagues.
Vermont has half the population of Las Vegas. Mayor Oscar Goodman is twice as qualified as Dean to be president.

Dean is like Clinton. A real toughie as long as he has police and military protecting him. I think Clinton is a coward and would run from a fight. I think Dean would too.
