Kay this was already posted but before this turns into another dump Bush thread. The article is pointed at the state and local governments refusal to cooperate with the Feds in enforcing immigration laws. This has been a point I have been making for 3 days around here. The INS has only 1500 field agents to enforce the laws and without the cooperation of the locals it is IMPOSSIBLE to do anything effective.

Yet should a cop arrest an illegal gangbanger for felonious reentry, it is he who will be treated as a criminal, for violating the LAPD?s rule against enforcing immigration law.

Congress should cut off all expenditures to the LAPD till that policy is changed.
