January 14, 2004 -- Rep. Richard Gephardt ripped front-runner Howard Dean yesterday - calling his statements about the capture of Saddam Hussein "ludicrous" and questioning the ex-Vermont governor's ability to defeat President Bush.

With the Iowa caucuses just days away, Gephardt - who's running neck-and-neck with Dean in the state - took time out to visit New York City and rip the former Vermont governor before a packed house at the Council on Foreign Relations.

The best part of this is, the "Democratic" party is shredding before our very eyes. This is the same phenomenon seen at work in 1968. When Abbie Hoffman told his grandmother he was going to Chicago, she wanted to know what for. "To wreck the Democratic Party." He claimed her only reply was, "Dress warm."

The Dean supporters are larvae. Whether they, like their predecessors, will ever grow up and start thinking instead of regurgitating propaganda remains to be seen.

Dean is a joy, because he'll manage to hang on to the nomination, but only after a long bloody fight in which all his weaknesses and stupidities are trumpeted by his opponents from his party.

What it means in the long run is, the 2008 race will be similarly lopsided.

The phony moderates who ran Clinton's two successful campaigns, and the moderate voters who alas were taken in by his sociopathic charm, will be solid against the party of the single party state, the so-called Democrats.

The 2008 activists and voters for the "Democrat" in that race will be mostly these irrational partisan twerps, freaks, drug addicts, and blowhards who currently support Dean.

Oops. "like their predecessors, will ever grow up" should have been either "UNlike their predecessors, will ever grow up" or "like their predecessors, will never grow up".
