Don't leave out the Armenian terrorists ...

Is race card in Jackson deck? (YES!)
For years the pop singer has blurred color lines, but court watchers are now conditioned to think otherwise.
...Asked whether Muhammad's(Leonard Muhammad, a high-ranking official of the Nation of Islam and the son-in-law of Louis Farrakhan) role extended to Jackson's finances, Charles Koppelman, Jackson's financial advisor, told reporters, "No, sir." Asked what role the Nation of Islam was playing, Jackson's criminal lawyer, Mark Geragos, replied, "No role." Asked why Muhammad was present, Geragos expressed exasperation.
"People have talked about how [Jackson's other] advisors have no access and aren't talking to him, and it's just not true," said Geragos. Muhammad, he said, "is an advisor, period," and the Nation of Islam's security detail is one of three protecting his client.
"I think it's an outrage for reporters to make a story out of it just because of [Muhammad's] religious or political affiliation. Are you afraid I'm a member of an Armenian terrorist organization?" asked the Armenian American Geragos. "It's almost racist just to bring it up."

Peterson Defense Motion Denied Peterson Defense Motion Denied
Defense: No Evidence Deaths Caused By Murder
POSTED: 8:50 AM PST January 14, 2004
UPDATED: 9:37 AM PST January 14, 2004
MODESTO, Calif. -- A judge has denied a motion by Scott Peterson's defense team to have the case thrown out.
Peterson's defense team filed a 995 motion -- asking another judge to review the case.
Peterson is accused of killing his wife, Laci, and the couple's unborn child.
In a court hearing Wednesday, the defense argued that none of the evidence in the case is admissible, that there is no evidence that the baby died in Laci's womb, and that there is no evidence their deaths were caused by murder.
Attorney Mark Geragos says prosecutors have proven adultery, not murder.
Prosecutors argued that they have more than proven probable cause against Peterson -- the standard to try him for murder. They cite his affair with Amber Frey, his secret purchase of a fishing boat, and hair found on pliers in that fishing boat.
Judge Al Girolami, who has presided over the case thus far, was not on the bench Wednesday. Instead, Judge Marie Silveira presided.
In the meantime, a state agency in charge of California court administration .....

Are all these stupid motions made by the defense not a complete waste of taxpayers money? Some of the statements in this motion are beyond ridiculous.
Too bad there is no death penalty for adultery!

That's good to know. I just saw knew of it as southern CA, and I have a certain mental image of southern CA.
How long since your father lived there? Has Orange County by any chance shifted from being more farming/rural, to being more subdivisions, etc.? If so, maybe the "rednecks" have given way to yuppies. For the sake of the longtime residents there, I hope not.

"A member of the Nation of Islam has moved into Geragos' law offices."
BWAAAAHAHAHA!!! Is he wearing the little pillbox hat, I wonder? Does he have that Malcolm X style scowl on his face, I wonder? Is he forbidding the secretaries to show their legs or eat barbecued pork for lunch? I'm getting the most entertaining mental images from this...

From the noises coming out of Geragos' mouth this morning, it sounds like their defense is that the baby grew (Impossible to prove one way or 'tother) and that it's just about sex (didn't save Clinton, won't save Scott).
I swear Distaso was reading verbatim from a post here about all that Scott had to complete in the 10 minute window Christmas Eve.
About the bogus survey... Did anyone else notice how carefully Geragos held himself away from it in the courtroom, even while using it to the hilt? He knew it was bad, but wasn't about to blow the whistle.
Schoenthaler reminded me of that guy testfying about the chad punching machine after the 2000 election! lol Slimeballs both!

I got that exact same feeling, when I heard the prosecutor saying how there was that 10 minute window for all those things to happen! If (just fantasizing) anything on these threads has helped them, I say, GOOD!! And IMO, they are welcome to it.
I really, really hope that Girolami himself very soon has an opportunity to question this Schoenthaler about the survey. I also really hope that Girolami saw red when he heard that the survey was bogus, and that it will give him a very jaundiced eye when considering whether to admit so-called evidence offered by this defense in the future.
It's human nature to not want to say, "I was wrong, I was being fooled". I don't expect Girolami to reverse himself on the change of venue. But I do expect him to look at the defense in this case with more suspicion. And I would hope he would want to get to the bottom of it all--since there is a possibility that lawyers, officers of the court, are involved.

Okay, well, some might say the death penalty is a bit harsh for adultery. But shouldn't there be some penalty? Adultery does indeed do harm to society. There used to be criminal statutes regarding some of these things which everyone says are totally private.
People love to go on about how the state is impinging more and more into private lives, with more and more laws and regs, and perhaps that's true. But no one ever seems to notice when the trend is AWAY from state involvement in personal matters, such as the way the state has backed off regarding laws against fornication, etc.
To: Cloe
P.S. If there WERE some official penalty for adultery in our society, as there is in some other places, you can bet that the homosexuals who are clamoring for "marriage" rights would back off. Furthermore, if divorce were to go back to being very difficult to accomplish, I believe that would further encourage them to back off on wanting "marriage".
They want only the benefits of marriage, but none of the restrictions or responsibilities.

--- it will give him a very jaundiced eye when considering whether to admit so-called evidence offered by this defense in the future. ---
Geragos was very careful NOT to introduce it. Schoenthaler offered it himself. In fact, Geragos was careful to get Schoenthaler on record that he had never even talked to Geragos until 8:30 that morning.
Geragos knew it was dirty all along, but no doubt had one of his thugs walk Schoenthaler through a legal/civilian maze to make sure he had no trace-able finger prints on it.
And then he added all of his bogus and rude objections to the State's cross to draw fire away from Schoenthaler, imo.
This was as carefully orchestrated as all the McDougal and Clinton's tap dances.
I sure hope we get full video and sound footage when Geragos slips up and is caught in these little games that are detroying our justice system.

Yes - all of the benefits of marriage but none of the restrictions or responsibilities - a sad reflection of our society today.

My father lived in Orange County until his death in 2000. My best friend still lives there and she mentioned recently that she feels as though she's the only liberal living there so I don't think Orange County has changed dramatically since then.
