A certain segment of Evangelical Christians have long thought ET's were totally and only demons.

I'm not in that group, though I think most of the more known ET races are probably in cahoots with satan and his league AND . . . some MAY be demons in genetically engineered bodies or whatever.

And once in a while there's this report of some ET telling some abductee that ET's are "soul catchers."

There's even reports of some "technology" capable of containing a soul.

I'm highly skeptical as to how much such stuff God would allow.

But, life is complex. And these are certainly crazy times. And with God asserting plainly that there will be a GREAT DECEPTION in the end times--our era, per my money--then it behooves all to be at least awake, prayerful, alert.

At first I assumed it was an airplane , but it suddenly stopped in mid-air , which airplanes couldn't ( before Harrier ) do . There was no sound , so it wasn't a helicopter . We stood and looked at it for a half a minute or so when it suddenly zoomed away at ultra supersonic speed - gone . Well ?

I don't have an explanation but I saw exactly the same thing a few years ago near San Luis Obispo, CA. I was in my yard just at twilight and noticed a bright white light I thought was a light aircraft heading west toward the ocean. Since I couldn't hear anything I figured it was quite a distance away. Then I noticed it moving slower and slower until it stopped. Even then I figured the plane had changed direction and was coming directly toward me. It appeared to remain stationary maybe 30-40 seconds, then started slowly moving back eastward. Even then I thought it was a light plane until it accelerated to an amazing speed -- all silently. It shot out of sight toward the east at a speed like nothing I've ever seen before. The odd thing is that when it stopped it was almost directly over Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant. Maybe there's a rational explanation but I don't know what it would be.

I stated that the bible does not state anything about life outside of earth. You brought out the bible and the story in Genesis; you could have dug out an article on woodcarving, that would be just as applicable.

But we have decades of eyewitness accounts, photo and video evidence, and such people as Barney and Betty Hill, Travis Walton and Whitley Streiber that suggest otherwise.

And just who is gonna tell us if a message is sent back, anyway? The government? To this day, they have not told us what really happened in 1947 Roswell.

If you want to think we are all alone out there, you can just go right on thinking that. The rest of us, the sensible ones, know better.

Why do UFOs always have to have lights on them? I mean, do advance beings need lights on their vessels for safety? You'd think they would have anti-collision systems far in advance of ours. Why are the aliens beings always ugly, doesn't that seems a bit suspicious?

I have no idea. If they wanted to be unseen, you would think they'd turn the light's off. Perhaps the light is a byproduct of their propulsion?

Just about everything on earth adapts to it's surroundings in some manner. Intelligence and physical bueaty are not necessarily connected by any laws of biology. So, why would the fact that a person finds the drawings and photo's of alleged aliens 'ugly' be suspicious in the least? An octopus and sea cucumber are not attractive physical specimens, yet are not considered 'satanic' or 'demonic'.

You know what the problem with all this UFO/Alien stuff is? It's the way it's presented on the web. I mean look at these nutty webpages, and the sensational way they try to present "data". There is nothing scientific or legitimate in their presentation. It's like a bunch of drug-fried loons are cobbling together webpages to get attention. These UFO sites always seem to have black backgrounds with green lettering in some form or another. In my view, these folks are phoney bullshitters. If they want serious attention, let them rework their presentation; until then, see a shrink. Now let me try and put my tin-foil hat back on.
