Video of Iraqi(?) Execution by Grenade
Sotaliraq.com ^ | 1-15-04 | no idea

This is not a pleasant video, so be forewarned. It shows two prisoners... hands bound behind their backs... blindfolded... placed on the ground inside a 3-walled dirt berm... and executed - blown up - apparently by grenades.

Oh, and there's also a group of people who applaud at the beginning of the video.

If anyone can translate the narration, please do. I can only make out "Saddam Hussein" in part of it.

The file is titled "executed-grenade" so I presume they are putting a grenade in the guy's pocket in the first part of the video.

Just sick.

Every idiot Leftist who opposes the liberation of Iraq should be made to watch that. Then let them try to explain their claims that we should have left Saddam in power.

Disgusting.
It's three men executed. The first has a grenade placed in his shirt pocket. The moment of exucution is not shown. The second, with a white blindfold dropped from his face, is placed next to the corpse of the first man, and killed by an explosive he is sitting on. The third man, wearing a green blindfold and dark shirt is sat down next to the two corpses and killed in the same manner as the second man.

I think it might be plastic explosive or the cameraman would be standing farther away.

Oh come on. According to Saddam they are just criminals and traitors!

And all the Bush haters say we had no right to invade Iraq and we've killed more innocent civilians with our wars and our sanctions!

Come on, get with it! </ sarcasm>

if you haven't seen "224Helicopter_kills" thats something to download. Might also be called "fun with helicopters"

I have no idea what type of chopper they (we, as in USA) are in, but it is pretty brutal.

Answers the question of whether or not enemy soliders show up on TADS once they are cut in half (or more) by big guns.

you can find it all over the web, p2p or websites.

They were in an Apache gunship. Brutal? They didn't feel a thing. The SAM that they were passing off to the tractor driver could possibly have caused a lot more deaths than the three the gunship bagged.

Do you have a problem with our forces killing them? If so, you should find the entire video and review the evidence. After that, if you still disagree with it, go help your friends.

I'm glad I'm not an idiot leftist so I don't have to watch this. I'll take your word for it that it is gruesome, and in my own little mind give those poor souls some dignity.

However, I guess it is not a whole bunch different than looking at 9/11 tapes or photos again (and again). In some way though I might be honoring those people that fell, or exploded in the airplanes, or were crushed in the towers. Those images are a powerful reminder of the sacrifices they made.

Okay - the grenade executions are also a powerful reminder of their sacrifices for standing up to Saddam, and a reminder of why our brave soldiers sacrifice to make a better Iraq. (Still not going to watch it though!)

Where did you read that? Get real. I said it was brutal, thats all. And it was. Getting cut to pieces is brutal. I never said it was wrong. Or immoral. Or unfair. Or they didn't deserve it. Well just for you, I'll change my tagline back to my previous one from a few months ago

Excellent comment -- I was thinking the same thing, but you said it better.

Hello all. I am an Iraqi Living in exile (EUROPE) and I would like to thank U.S.A for liberating us. As you can see on the video Saddam's mens have pledged many crimes against innocent Iraqis. My message to all the intelligent Americans is: Thank you for your support, and many Iraqis just like me, are very gratefull for the efforts of the AMERICAN TROOPS the real heros that liberated us. The Iraqis that are against the U.S are those that lost many $$$$ because their UNCLE SADDAM has been removed. The real Iraqis are very thankfull and please don't think we hate you!! My family in Iraq are very happy and they also said many many many others are also very happy and those that are not happy are those in the so called "Iraqi resistance". The ppl in the resistance are old baathist, thats why 70% of the Iraqis is also against them. GOD BLESS THE NEW IRAQ AND THEIR NEW ALLIES U.S / UK / COALITION. Please also sign the PRO-US petition on the website: http://www.sotaliraq.com/petition/petitions.php?id=10

Welcome to FreeRepublic! I looked at your petition website and hope you get many more Iraqis to sign it and add their thanks. The coalition troops are truly heroes. The liberation of the Iraqi people would not have been possible without the leadership of The President of The United States, George W. Bush and England's Prime Minister Tony Blair, as well as Australia's Prime Minister John Howard.

I am grateful for people like you who are working to take your newfound freedom and establish democracy in your country. I like this comment on your PRO-US petition web page:

Saad K. Aldin: Associate Professor in The Netherlands. We would like to emphasis here that all the activities against your troops in Iraq does not reflect the general attiude of our good Iraqi people but represent the attitude of some Wahabi and/or Sadam's gangs.
