I will never understand why the People of Massachusetts keep electing this guy just because he carries the Kennedy name. I live in Massachusetts and I don't understand it either.
While it's true that there are a lot of liberals here, I know plenty of people who vote for Kennedy just because of his last name.
It's insanity.

Remember too, this began long before Bush's or Blair's time. And even before Clinton's and Bush #1!!!
It is far better to invest the time and TRACK down those weapons, whether they were moved to Syria, Lebanon, or the Samarra Tunnel Complexes!

I'd still like to know why they're calling Kelly's death a suicide. Were the autopsy results ever made public?

>>I actually wanted to scream at the TV last night when Teddy Kennedy shook his bobblehead when Bush mentioned WMD.
I thought those were delerium tremors from lack of a fresh drink in-hand.

Years of decadent living and too much Scotch have left Ted an old corpulent, demented shell with all of the reasoning ability of his lobotomized sister. If Joe were still around, Ted would find himself in a monastery in Wisconsin.
It is depressing to see an athlete or politician stay in the arena after their skills are depleted and embarrassing as they make a fool out of themselves

"The last honorable man in government?" John,
There was a certain undeniable meanness to that question.
It suggests:
1: That you believe this guy took his own life to redeem himself for believing that there were (without a doubt) WMD's in Iraq.
2: That you take delight in his suicide.
Do you ever feel a slight twinge, deep down inside you, when you say callous things like that, FRiend?
That's your conscience trying to speak to you.
Heed it.
Regards,
FBD

I take no delight in the death of any of the victims of Leviathan be they an Arab farmer, a French citizen, a Palestinian, and Israeli or an American. I cannot say the same thing about the folks you run with.
What say you to that? Do you get a little pain in your belly when someone cheers the death of another human being? I'd be happy to pull the Rachel Corrie threads if you doubt me.
That said, suicide to preserve ones honor after they have done wrong is a time tested tradition and if I might give Mr.Kelly his wish, I will grant it. It may seem anachronistic to our 'forgiveness culture' but it was standard practice amongst governments and militaries up until recently.

"I cannot say the same thing about the folks you run with." No? Who do I *run with*, John?
Fact is, you don't know anything about me, and after this exchange, I think it best kept that way.
"Do you get a little pain in your belly when someone cheers the death of another human being?"
Yes John,
It pains me to hear you cheer this man's suicide.
Take care.

BBC needs to be dismissed forever as unreliable, unpatriotic, Britain hating, disreputable, etc. etc.

You read into a post with no inflection that I was 'cheering' or at least 'mocking.'
Rest assured, I believe he killed himself because of what he had done, just another casualty to the Iraq war. I also believe he killed himself in the tradition of protecting his honor. What do you believe?

Those conspiracy theories about how everyone is stupid, or a paid hack, or lacking in honor - Galt just never gives up.
Next, I expect him to tell us the Holocaust never happened.

It seems to me that the 'concern' in the UK about IRAQ'S WMD is as convoluted as ours is, here in the US. What difference does it make if it takes 45 minutes to deploy or 45 hours? The 911 attack took months/years to plan. If they would have had WMD on those planes whether they were stolen from IRAQ/IRAN/SYRIA/etc or bought from them, the 'time' factor to deploy would be a non-issue.
The whold idea to eliminate WMD in IRAQ (and maybe elsewhere in the future) is to preclude WMD USE against the USA/UK etc.

They (especially Ted Kennedy) are soooo full of hateWhen the next Democrat gets elected President, if the Republicans behave as badly during the SOTU address as the Democrats did last night, I will be thoroughly embarrassed for the Party. I've never seen a bigger group of partisan BABIES. The way they refused to applaud, even out of RESPECT FOR THE PRESIDENCY (if not for the person), made me sick, and I lost a huge amount of respect for them.
Partisanship, at the expense of the American People, is REDICULOUS... and that is putting it kindly.
