Iran to Put Dozen Al Qaeda Captives on Trial Fri January 23, 2004 11:45 AM ET

DAVOS, Switzerland (Reuters) - Iran plans to put about a dozen jailed al Qaeda suspects on trial, Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi said Friday. "They are currently in prison. Their relations are cut off from outside and they are going to be tried," Kharrazi told Reuters at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The most important al Qaeda figure that Western intelligence agencies say may be in Iran is an Egyptian -- Saif al-Adel, the network's security chief.

Kharrazi declined to comment on whether Iran was holding al-Adel, saying he could not identify any of the suspects for security reasons.

I foresee a fast trial followed by quick public hangings before any "embarrassing" secrets about Iran's involvement with 9/11 can be revealed.

Sure. But you lie when you hope that people will believe you, and I'm just thinking about some reasons that they might want us to think that they're doing something with the AQ guys. There seems to be an aweful lot of hints and rumors going around re: OBL and AQ. I do think that raid in Karachi might have been a pretty big shaking of the tree, and we're seeing apples falling right now = some good and some rotten.

Pakistan, Lybia, North Korea and now Iran seem to be "cooling their jets." The U.S. is getting more respect and making great headway under Bush regardless of what Democrats say. In the meantime, their are Hot Rumors on the web today that the U.S. has captured Osama bin Laden. Read Report . . . Scroll Down. This rumor may have legs because it is being supported in part by U.S. intelligence people who are keeping mum on the identity of who we captured.

probably true.

but too little, too late.
they must know we have the goods on them (Iran).
or they wouldn't be "floating" trial balloons like bill clinton after a blow job...

Iran and Syria... are very likely in extremely DEEP s--t!

Maybe Iran saw what we did to Iraq, and are putting on this show to appease us?

Very interesting piece on OBL.

PS: Bet the elite media and Dims are scratching their heads over how the "gravitas-challenged" GW has managed to acomplish all this, literally whipping into shape Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lybia, and perhaps Iran. Shock-n-awe rules!
