Wow, the Real World speaks up! I think I spend too much time on FreeRepublic, where the perspective of many has no connection at all to the Real World. It's no surprise that normal people love this President. I guess that makes the strident naysayers a bit less than normal.

Will you be voting for Pres. Bush in November or not? If not, while you may think you are not "throwing away" your vote, you will be denying him yours, and thereby helping to elect a liberal.

I think what people are saying is that there are 2.5 million more unemployed people that when Bush took office.

That is not what they say. They say 2.5 million LOST jobs, which is simply not true.

Another factor not much discussed is extended unemployment benefits. The only person I personally know on unemployment right now is there by choice. She could get a job anytime she wants and will get a job in a minute once her benefits run out (which should be this spring unless they extend it again.)

While surely not true of the vast majority of workers who are bread winners, a goodly percentage of the 147 million people in the labor force are unemployed by choice, have other income sources (Spouse etc.), low living expenses (no kids, payed up mortgage) and will remain unemployed for as long as their benefits continue. This individual considers her free time to be worth the difference in income between what she would earn and what unemployment pays. She uses it to watch her grand kids, saving her son several hundred a month in day care costs, which he kicks some of back to her.)

I am a Democrat, but I will stand up and say I will be voting for President Bush on election day ... and you should, too.

Boy those are very few and very far between in MS.
It does my heart good to see this BUT when it come from
the Clarion Ledger then we will be making progress.

I'd be willing to bet she doesn't look anything like Barbie, although she seems to have her IQ. What a loser!

President Bush has responded, not by attacking Islamic capitals like Mecca or Medina, but by cutting off supplies to al Qaeda and by removing Hussein from power. All leaders should have the clarity Bush possesses.

Let's face it, Bush is hated for his moral clarity by the moral relativists of our time.

People who would have given a mass murdering tyrant like Saddam every benefit of a doubt are not willing to show the same consideration to a good man like President Bush.

What a sad world we live in.

Well said Jorge, those are words worth pondering, for the glassy eyed followers of political rhetoric who endeavor to follow the rhetoric even at the cost of discarding the truth.

Call it a personality flaw but I am more technically minded than artistic and I wouldn't achieve any level of euphoria seeing my Jeep in that contorted position!

Sorry, it's just me!! LoL's

Great pic's however! : )

I hope it will comfort you to know it's the only crack up I've had, but it WAS a doozy! The reason for the pic is that it was the only time in track memory (20+ years) that anyone hung their car on the wall.

"Call it a personality flaw but I am more technically minded than artistic and I wouldn't achieve any level of euphoria seeing my Jeep in that contorted position!"

Generally speaking, I'm more technically minded, as well. The beauty of this experience is that it wasn't my car. ;o)

I hope it will comfort you to know it's the only crack up I've had...Ooookay, uh uh, yep, I understand! LoL's!!!

Just kidding. You can drive my Jeep anytime, you will have to sucumb to below zero temp's to do so however!!

The beauty of this experience is that it wasn't my car. ;o)

Now THAT puts a whole new light on it! That makes it a fun experience and pleasant memory to boot! Ah yes, it's the little things in life that can make it sooo wonderful sometimes.

Have a great day and keep the rubber on the road....(if so desired) : )

Regards,

EG

Right on Ditto, I have thought a lot about this, just how many of the so called jobless are that way due to personal choice? I also think the sharp upturn in applications for jobless benefits in november were due to those people wanting christmas spending money. The San Diego paper is bursting with job ads! I also checked southern Maryland this week when I was there, plenty of job advertisments, I am not talking minimum wage jobs either.

The only ones who elect liberals are the ones who vote for them.

Nice Jesse Jackson like slogan. But, of course, completely false.

It's funny how truth is not held in very high regard by many on FR.

Unless the margin of electoral victory in my state is a single vote, how would my vote for the Constitution Party candidate help to elect a liberal?
