We're very close to getting a CCW law in Wisconsin. If this fails, the next chance could be as late as 2007.

Cmon, you Wisconsinites.... make your politicians feel the pain.
Politicians are like animals... they don't like to feel pain, and they will remember the pain as well.
Make their fax machines hurt.
Max their email server hurt.
Make their phone banks hurt.
Make their ears hurt.

If you have any Wisconsin ping lists, now is the time to use them.

Thanks. I think we'll get out of this what we put into it because the vote is so close. There's no time to waste. I'm sorry I had that list so late. I found it on Packing just a little while ago.

From Packing:
We have just received word from Representative Gunderson's office that Representative Gary Sherman is the most likely to change his vote on the concealed carry bill tomorrow. Remember, Representative Sherman was one of the two Democrat co-sponsors of the bill when it was introduced last summer.
Please call Representative Sherman and ask him to not play politics with your right to self-defense. Representative Sherman's number is (608) 266-7690 or (888) 534-0074.

Two dems we need on our side:
Representative Gary Sherman (608) 266-7690 or (888) 534-0074.
Representative Amy Sue Vruwink (608)266-8366 or (888) 534-0070.
Thanks and keep making the calls. The toll free numbers are fun.

Thanks for starting the thread. E-mails off. I hope their "long held support" isn't like the passing of wind.

At the moment it doesn't look too good. I read a couple of posts on other websites and there is a sense of urgency that I didn't read during the Senate discussion. The toll free numbers should help.

At the moment it doesn't look too good. I read a couple of posts on other websites and there is a sense of urgency that I didn't read during the Senate discussion. For a number of reasons. What can be said has already been said, dozens of times. There are reports, from people who would know, that we've literally run dozens of Assemblyman's fax machines out of paper, we've filled dozens of their voice mail boxes to the limit, and we've filled dozens of their email boxes to the point that the mail servers are bouncing emails back to their senders.
It may have been quiet here and on other boards, but I assure you we've been busy putting the pressure on. As well, the pro-CCW Senators, Assemblymen, sporting organizations, and WI CCW organizations have been in very regular contact with those of us signed up to receive notices ever since the Senate voted on Veto-override, and have provided the names, phone numbers, and email addresses of the dozen or so Assemblymen who really need to be contacted.
If we're quiet, it's because we've done all that we can, and are holding our breath waiting for the outcome.
