The FY 2003 Budget for the NEA was $115.731 million. That included a $10 million increase that was the "biggest in years". We're probably talking about something like $20 million. $20 million would probably pay for 400 more border security staff, or handguns for 20,000 airline pilots, both of which we need more than anti-American / anti-Christian exhibits by deranged Leftists, doncha think? Just speaking for myself here, but give me 20,000 Glock's in the hands of airline pilots over 50,000 crucifixes in jars of urine any day.

You sound like Kerry, Dean, pick em "Raising taxes on the rich will pay for schools, healthcare, etc etc." 2+2 doesn't equal 4 there.
I personally wouldn't spend a red cent on the NEA but I'm willing to hear what the actual plan is before I get fired up about it.
An aside: V a V guns in the cockpit, if it was allowed tomorrow the pilots would all buy their own by the next day. The gov wouldn't have to spend a dime. The dudes making 250 large could pick up their own tab or the company that wants to charge me $4 a beer on the plane.
