No one (at least not me) ever accused *all* Arnold supporters of being groupies. The groupies are the ones who will continue to defend anything and everything that he does, no matter what. We see people do the same thing with Bush.

I prefer to praise him when he's doing something that I like and call him out when he strays off the reservation.

It may surpise the "Ron is a groupie" crowd, but I don't have a problem at all with starting a "Recall Schwarzenegger". We have prevented Davis from continuing in office and have blocked Bustamante from getting in. If we recalled Schwarzenegger, perhaps a more level playing field would develop and a more conservative person could get in this time. It would put Schwarzenegger on notice, and perhaps a guy 2,500 miles east too, that the citizens of this nation are sick and tired of the B.S.

I think you've seen my reaction to the Bushies. I'm certainly not going to set up a similar fan club for Arnold. Like you, I'll praise him when he does something I like, and let him have it when he screws up. Thanks for the comeback. Take care.

But I don't think Arnold coordinated his strategy with the White House on this issue.

Arnold was being groomed by GOP movers and shakers since early last year, if not before. GOP bigwigs were planning to run him for Governor at the next regular election, and were caught by surprise when Issa and the grassroots got the recall going. He definitely has connections with Washington- and coordinating policy is very likely. Don't be fooled- he doesn't act alone.

I get it- it's not about Arnold betraying his voters, it's all about your anger that 'Toothie has been proven right. Sour grapes don't taste good, eh?

If you get it, I sure haven't seen any evidence.  Toothie has been fixated on the idea that Arnold told us what he was going to do.  How's that betraying anyone???

Before Schwarzenegger was elected I predicted that I would not like a number of things he was going to do.  Sour grapes?  You're having as big a problem with reality as toothless is.

We have nothing to lose. Let's do it!

If all of the yellow bellied RINOS who said "I believe in Tom, but I am voting for Arnold because he can win", would have shut the heck up and voted their beliefs, Tom would be Governor, the budget would be balanced (without all of this shuck and jive prop 57 and 58 nonsense) and we would NOT be revisiting this license issue!

At what cost does it stop being 'our guy.'

I'm willing to look past imperfections in Iraq situation and still support a good-guy Republican President.

But, out of control spending, growth in government, failure to secure borders, amnesty plans.

It's hard to stomach.

At least in defense of Arnold we knew he'd be a RINO - he mocked the right wing before the recall election.

This reminds me of the girl who sticks with the loser boyfriend when everyone else tries to warn her off.

Some here just wanted to close their eyes and hope the 'first date' Arnold courting would last forever.

Well now they're already pregnant with the bastard RINO child and they all want to say Arnold really loves them and will stick around and be a great father to their issues... really.

Your lack of understanding on the subject is clear.

Those who voted for Arnold in order to defeat the racist Mexican, bustamechA, weren't yellow-bellied, nor were they RINOs. They just understood what you obviously do not. But, hey, don't take my word for it. Ask Jim Robinson, another yellow-bellied RINO who voted for Arnold...he'll probably be happy to explain it to you.

I do understand the situation. I was right in the middle of it, much closer than you know.

This was not an election based on "Arnold VS Bustamante", it was about the principled removal of a defunct and ineffectual Governor. Arnold threw his hat into the ring in the last round because he saw an opportunity to grab the Governors chair. He need legitimacy in order to seek the bid in a regular election. Without getting his foot in the door now, he would not be a viable candidate in '06.

He made many promises, and he has gone back on them. This SB1160 nonsense does not surprise me, it just is the icing on the cake. I don't like the man, I don't trust him, and I don't trust the people he chooses to surround himself with. You do not change the world through capitulation.

You had your reasons for voting the way you did. Bringing Mr. Robinson (who I respect and admire more than you know) into this discussion is baseless. I had my reasons for baking my guy as well. I just hope that your vote still seems like a good idea to you when you begin to see the man behind the curtain.
