Wow, your writing reminds me of this famous statement:
"Our Lives, our Fortunes, and our Sacred Honor."
I wonder what your response would have been to the Declaration of Independence?
Oh yes, of course, those were different times and that is not applicable in today's modern world.
What you just posted to me was that both parties are heading in the wrong direction, but at least the Republicans are heading in that direction at a slower pace. It's very similar to those who play not to lose rather than those who play to win. I am not advocating any kind of revolutions per se, however, we must let the Republican party know what we want before it is too late. At a certain point, it will be too late to turn the boat around. Some argue we are already there.

Right now all the Bush supporters are using national security as the boogie-man to keep disgruntled supporters in line.Indeed. Bush using this as the boogie-man. YES indeedie, she says, DRIPPING with sarcasm.
I just think the WOT thing has been pushed a little too much as a reelection reason because Dubya supporters have little else to fall back on.
You are SO wrong, so VERY wrong.
Sorry Mo, for being too lazy to not go find my own pic and stealing yours.

He asked me why I wanted to know if someone was eligible to vote in this Country that was commenting. Since the person was a buddy of his I guess he figured he would do the asking! I don't know that I've ever corresponded with yonif before, and if I did it was a casual reply. I assure you he/she's no buddy of mine. I was simply attempting to point out that logic transcends borders, and yonif's post would be just as true regardless of nationality. I suspect you agree with that.
Honestly, I'm sorry you feel this way. I don't recognize onyx or nopardons but I know your nick and you've always struck me as a reasonable poster. To the best of my knowledge our exchanges have always been polite, even if we disagreed.
Oh well.

"A Democrat president wouldn't be able to crowbar half the loony leftist crap through a Republican-controlled Congress that Bush has been able to heave over the fence." I don't know about that. If it were true, we wouldn't have half as many problems as we do. Ain't nobody safe as long as Congress is in session (plagiarized).

Do you understand how absurd this statement is? No, enlighten me. Please tell me that we are a much safer nation with a geezer drug program. Tell me that a Kerry administration will have Al-Queda operatives working out of the Pentagon. Tell me that Kerry will sign an executive order proclaiming the entire month of Ramadan "Hug your terrorist next-door month".

Cult of Personality? So we who admire Dubya for his strong defense of this country and telling the French and other fair-weather friends to are not thinking rationally; we're just drinking Dubya's kool-aid. Those people who will stay home or vote 3rd party or, God help us, vote 'Rat because the would rather starve than eat half a loaf .. well, they may not have the most rational position, either.

My friend, believe me when I tell you how difficult it is to face the truth of what the Republican party has become. We have not even tried to cut the power of the federal government. I wish everyone would realize that the more layers you add the less power we as individuals have. Of course, I've also come to the realization is that most people do not really believe in freedom...

And your point is? You think a Dem is going to want this to happen? Who was Prez when this happened? Did it make a difference? As I recall, at the time Dubya was more concerned with amnesty for illegals than securing the border. Life has changed as a result of 9/11 and any prez will be a little more concerned with security be he a dem or a rep.
