Doesn't make a lick of sense to me to allow the America hating, freedom hating Democrats back into power now that we've kicked them out.

Me neither bump!

Well, when you put it that way, it's a little hard to argue the point.

Dunno where to start. When I vote for Bush, it will be because I'm votin 'gainst the Democrat. Lets consider a bit o' this, though:

Will Bush solve the illegal immigration problem?
No. He's promised to exacerbate it. We're already seein' a rush on our borders based on what he said.

Will Bush solve the government spending problem?
2.7 Trillion Dollars. 'nuff said.

Will Bush solve the campaign finance problem?
HE SIGNED THE BLOODY THING. IT IS HIS FAULT. HE DESERVES THE BLAME!

Will Bush defend America from those bent on destroying her? You'd better bet your sweet bippy he will.
Funny, I've noticed Bush bein' awfully friendly with some of the folks we really need to exterminate: the Saudis. Fifteen of the nineteen, remember? The Wahabis, whose alleged "theology" underlies the terrorists, are SPONSORED by the Saudi government, aka the Saudi royal family.

Will Bush appoint conservative judges? Yup!
Sure he will. Just like his dad. David Souter - 'nuff said.

Will Bush continue reducing taxes? Yup.
Maybe. That is a good reason to vote for him, to keep the tax cuts. I agree whole heartedly with this one. Tax cuts are one of things that I like about GWB.

Will Bush defend the right to keep and bear arms? Check
Nope. He's gonna sign the AWB if it gets to his desk.

Doesn't make a lick of sense to me to allow the America hating, freedom hating Democrats back into power now that we've kicked them out.
Doesn't make a lick of sense to me to fail to impose discipline on what is supposed to be the party of conservatism. Keep votin' for 'em cause we have no other place to go, and they'll keep takin' us for granted.

Say no to the RATS!!
And RINOs.

Well said JR.
Your post made me re-think my negative reply to the Republican phone solicitor yesterday. I always planned to vote for Bush in '04 but am soooo steamed over his illegal-immigrant proposal - I couldn't see sending him a contribution. You've provided a good reality check. Thanks.

Jim,
Good list . . . but the first NINE reasons are reasons why not to vote for the other guy. That is not exactly a ringing endorsement for our guy. Is it?

Jim Robinson, Sir, you are the paragon of common sense.

And I salute you.

God bless you and yours.

And God bless our President -- and my America!

well, that does just about cover every aspect of the question of for whom to vote, doesn't it?

well said. nice and blunt.

Conservatives with reservations about Dubya (and I am one) should try to remember the consequences of staying home, not voting, or tossing votes away to no-chance-in-hell third-party candidates.

Hold your noses if you must, but vote Bush - he beats the REAL WORLD alternatives hands down.

I've been a Bush supporter for a long time. I DO have a probem with the socialist prescription drug bill. I DO NOT like giving 15 billion to Africa for "aids". I want the Mexico border CLOSED. I don't like him signing the CFR because it's "unconstitutional" then seeing the SC validate it.

But, as your post points out, a splinter in the finger is better than a sharp stick in the eye.

Good post. Ever think about starting a web site that will change American politics forever? :)

JimRob, you rock. This is one of those essays I come across and think, "Why couldn't I have written that?"

Remember, boys and girls, the guy who decided to defund the CIA and didn't think we needed the Abrams or the Apache while we were facing down tens of thousands of Soviet tanks is not the guy who's going to properly prosecute this war. Vote for the guy who will, not some third-party guy who would do a pretty fair job of it if he magically got an extra 500,000 votes and actually had a chance.
