We are Californians and this is our home! Maybe you should consider that when offering all your suggestions and comments about our situation. Then you elected Grey Davis - I came in and helped toss him out to clean up your mess!

cinFLA, just what exactly is your stake in this? California's economy affects the whole nation.

Is that an apology for erroneously calling me a Bush-hater? If not, I'm waiting. There have been so many Bush-bashers out tonight I slipped. Should have said "Arnold-hater"?

I understand that you are on the TM team and dedicated to underminding AS. First you accuse me of being a Bush hater... now a member of the "TM Team". I am not a member of any "team". I care deeply about the future of California as it has been the home of my family for three generations. There is nothing I can write on this forum that will "undermine" Arnold. I will however express my own personal opinion, supported with facts, and participate in discussions when I choose. Again... please avoid the personal labels.

OK. Where would you get the $15 billion if not from the bond proposal?

You may as well get used to hearing bad things about Arnie. He's shaping up to be a real doozy of a bad governor. Here is a post I remember reading about Feb. 2001 >

OK. Where would you get the $15 billion if not from the bond proposal? This thread is about drivers licenses for illegals, not bonds. But the short answer is: cut spending.

This thread is about drivers licenses for illegals, not bonds. That's right; the one that Arnold repealed.

I wanted to vote for Mc Clintock. ... I wanted to vote for Mc Clintock Ron Paul. I was involved with several long threads here trying to defend myself. In the end I choked and voted for Arnold Bush because I was afraid Bustamante Kerry might win.
I feels yo' pain.

Why should Schwarzenkennedy be any different that the leader of his political party, President Bush?
Both of them will sell out law-abiding, taxpaying Americans to please the corporations that own their souls.

But Democrats in the Capitol seem blase about the whole fiscal meltdown. They want Schwarzenegger to fail, even if it means taking the ship of state down with him. Another disconnect.
State Sen. Tom McClintock, R- Thousand Oaks, also isn't going along with the new governor. He wants the state to again consider his suggestion to roll over its existing $14 billion in loans. It could work if the Legislature follows through with meaningful spending reductions. But it's unlikely lawmakers would accept the 13 percent across-the-board cuts McClintock seeks.
New York City's financial miscalculations of the 1970s began with debt rollover. But that administration continued to roll the debt without rocking the spending boat. Maybe that's why state lawmakers have shown little enthusiasm for McClintock's plan.
Like the governor has often said, everyone needs to share the temporary pain and belt- tightening that comes with his financial fixes. Whether anyone is willing to take a hard look at how they contribute to the problem and the solution, sure to pinch everyone from voters to prison guards, it's unlikely the state will pull out of its financial free fall.

so they either cut spending or raise taxes, and you watch which of the thieves votes to raise taxes. I would rather not watch them raise taxes.
