Kerry says threat of terrorism is exaggerated (BARF Alert)
The Washington Times ^ | January 30, 2004 | Brian DeBose

--- "I think there has been an exaggeration," Mr. Kerry said when asked whether President Bush has overstated the threat of terrorism. "They are misleading all Americans in a profound way." The front-runner for the Democratic nomination said he would engage other nations in a more cooperative fashion to quell terrorism. "This administration's arrogant and ideological policy is taking America down a more dangerous path," Mr. Kerry said. "I will make America safer than they are." ---

Kerry underestimates the threat to the peril of the nation. It's not safe to vote D, even in the best of times.

Another one that wants to negotiate and serve herbal tea to a rabid dog.

"Senator Kerry is the front-runner, and I mean him no insult, but in 19 years in the Senate, Senator Kerry sponsored 11 bills dealing with health care, and not one of them passed," the former governor of Vermont said. "If you want a president who will get results, I suggest that you look at somebody who did get results in my state."

Replied Mr. Kerry: "One of the things that you need to know as president is how things work in Congress if you want to get things done.

"One of the things that happens in Congress is you can, in fact, write a bill. But if you're smart about it, you can get it on someone else's bill that doesn't carry your name," he said.

So all those other Senators --- that got their names on Senate bills --- aren't smart. Only Kerry --- who didn't actually author any bills --- is the smart one.

I'm glad that's clear.

Terrorism has been a threat since its inception, but I have seen not one damn person who gave a rat's pooper, before 9-11. Who rang alarm bells when our intelligence services were neutalized? We have acted exactly as we did before WWII (with respect to knowing what our enemies were up to) and, oddly enough, reaped the same reward.

Bill O'Reilly asked the question but missed perhaps the most crucial part of the question. "WHO'S LOOKING OUT FOR YOU?" Which of our leaders, of either party or branch of government, at any point in time, upheld their constitutionally defined duty.

"I will make America safer than they are."

This is a strange statement, depending on who "they" refers to. In writing, it seems "they" means America, which would place Kerry outside America, rather than being a part of America. Strange.

JFKerry perfector of deception accusing the President of misleading.

Saddam was the master of deception as well and he found himself in a "pit".

Bill Clinton pursued the first WTC attack as a crminal matter rather than as a political matter. He did so probably to avoid destabilizing oil prices and disruption of the economy, the only thing he had going for him at the time. Processing an international terrorist act, plainly a political matter, as a domestic criminal act resulted, ultimately, in the 9-11 attack. Instead of pursuing international terrorists, Clinton put a blind Muslim cleric in jail and continued down a path motivated by domestic concerns, in turn blinding the U.S. intelligence apparatus.

Modern DemocRat politics cannot function without foundation in domestic policy. That approach is frightening, since the trust we as citizens may have in each other does not apply to the nation's enemies. Yet, for some reason, DemocRats seem to give friendly status even to those who want the destruction of our way of life. Liberals seem always to have this tendency. VietNam veteran Kerry was the friend of the communists who have impoverished VietNam. Senator Kerry voted time and again to disarm the United States, to weaken its defenses, to deprive our fighting forces of the latest weaponry and technology.

As stated elsewhere ont his thread, it is not safe to vote Dem even in the best of times.
