January 31, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - The Treasury Department yesterday opened an investigation into Iraq's growing oil bribery scandal, in which 270 prominent politicians and organizations around the world are accused of receiving sweetheart oil deals from Saddam Hussein. The probe was launched after an Iraqi State Oil Ministry list of beneficiaries of the lucrative contracts - that included the president of Indonesia, a controversial anti-war British politician, two French officials and even the Russian Orthodox Church - was published in a Baghdad newspaper this week and confirmed to be authentic by officials of the new Iraqi government.

I'm surprised that Kofi Annan didn't show up on this list.
He collected millions with that Food for Oil deal.

I have read that ALL the weapons inspectors were trained in Annan's home country, by a close relative of his. Is it any wonder that he wanted to send in more inspectors, instead of going after Sadamm!

No Halliburton either.

Now we know, when they said "No War for Oil", they meant "No War *to take away our* Oil".

Oh, the pipeline is open to the money flow. For instance, we've been talking about this list for a few days. One Iraqi-American on the list was the money behind Scott Ritter's pro-Iraq propaganda film. So Ritter's name is not on this list, but he might have been a recipient of the proceeds.

See?

There are all kinds of possibilities here.

Nothing quite so direct. There were a number of big contributors to rats listed, though.
