Words are failing me right now...but prayers are not. Your grandma took her last breath here on earth, and her very next one in heaven.
Peace to you, my FRiend.
My prayers.

How special your Grandma was a music teacher. Think of how much of herself, and the beauty of music she's passed on to hundreds of others, which they will pass down through the generations. Once this acute pain has become more bearable, perhaps you'll smile at the thought of her influence going on and on. I hope you have experienced many blessings this week in the midst of your loss and suffering.

Thanks for sharing that story of your grandma...
I have many similar memories of mine.
You didn't have to thank us, but that you did speaks to your character. You will carry on; as we all do.
Someday, we'll all be reunited with our departed families--with the hugs and the food and the smells and the love.
Not until we finish what it is that we do.

Central State University in Ohio? I used to live minutes from there in Xenia for a few years back in the early 90's.
What a beautiful tribute to your Grandma. Love and hugs and prayers going your way (((((((Michael))))))).

Best wishes to you.
As you describe your grandmother, I find myself remembering my own. She was a strong women who lavished her grandchildren with love. She taught me about unconditional love, and is greatly missed. But her love was so powerful, that it hasn't lessened today. I can still feel her hugs, or hear her calling my name. She is still with me.
And your grandmother will always be with you and your family.
Love's last gift is rememberance.
May God bless you.

What a wonderful tribute! Your grandmother was clearly an extraordinary person that touched many lives -- expecially your own. In a way I am sure that makes her even more missed.
But you can take comfort in the knowledge that so many people have such grand memories of her as well. Quite a legacy she has left -- and a high bar for her younger family members.
I have no parents or grandparents left -- I hope they meet up with your grandmother. It sounds like even in the afterlife she would enrich them (and I would like to think vice versa).
Take good care of yourself and my prayers and sympathies.

What beautiful memories! My grandparents were overseas - I didn't know them very well, if at all. Good luck to you on your trip, where ever it takes you. I really and truly appreciate your JD posts.

I understand you. My grandmother passed away a few days before Christmas.
She had been sick a long time, and was diagnosed to live only 5 years or so. That was about 15 years ago.
I hope you get to feeling better. My prayer is with you.
