Oh Geez Oh man, please be self-indulgent. You deserve it. Losing someone is the hardest thing that can happen to one. Thank you for sharing her story, she was a great lady. My prayers are with you and your family. I wish I could just give you a big hug.

Not self indulgence at all. Prayers for YOU and your grandma. By now I suspect she's already met up with my Mom who was also an extraordinary woman, and died at 83. They'll keep busy comparing ideas, as well as watching us down here. I miss my Mom a lot, always will. Never met any grandmothers, unfortunately.

Condolences to you and family.
Sorry to hear of your loss, but think of all the years and good memories you have of her and all the good she did and all those she imparted her love for music and life to.

I'm sorry for being just a little self-indulgent tonight. Not at all, not at all.
Odd that I should read this thread tonight. I was in Shoney's this morning, standing in line to pay the check. In front of me in line was an elderly man who was neatly attired as people used to dress to go out, nice suit, shirt, tie, polished shoes and an old, gray hat.
I was reminded of my grandfather, who we lost in 1978. He used to have a hat like that, and he'd dress nicely to go out and do ordinary daily things. Of all the members of my family, he was the biggest influence in my life, and the one to whom I was the closest.
I got to the car, and tears welled up. I still miss him terribly.
So, I understand. And I will say a prayer for you.

You are not being self-indulgent...you are proud of your grandmother and well you should be....We are all who we are because THEY were who they were...
Those extra prayers you request will, of course, be offered my many at FR.
