Dean campaign fund raising e-mail received

Dear Bl.,

This weekend I met with supporters in Washington state, where more than 850,000 residents are without health care - including 173,000 children. If nothing changes, another 116,000 residents will lose their health care coverage this year.

The reason we don't have health care for every American is because powerful special interests - not only insurance and pharmaceutical companies, but industries that don't want to have to pay more for workers' health care - are the key forces behind most political campaigns.

Too many elected officials are beholden to these special interests.

In our campaign, special interests have been replaced by our common interests - hundreds of thousands of Americans have given what they can afford to end the politics of big money. Other candidates get most of their money in $2000 contributions.

I believe there are two million Americans who will contribute at least $100 dollars to defeat George W. Bush. I am asking you to to join the $100 Revolution right now:

This campaign has already revolutionized how politics are funded. The next two weeks will be tough, but the large, delegate-rich states, including Ohio, California, and New York, don't vote until March 2. We will continue to campaign aggressively in all February and Super Tuesday states, and I need your contribution to keep this extraordinary campaign moving forward:

Thanks to you, when I am president I won't owe anything to anybody but the American people. Then, we can finally achieve the vision that Harry Truman first laid out in the Democratic Party platform in 1948: health care for every American.

Thank you, Governor Howard Dean, M.D.

Can't the good doctor start healing people now? 5 a day times 365 days = over 1800 Americans a year he could help.

I thought that it was because the American people didn't want health care ran by the same friendly folks that act like they're on life support at the DMV or who can only answer the phone once every 6 weeks at the IRS. I thought it was because the people didn't want to be taxed and controlled "socialist style". Little did I know, it was those damned special interest and those evil companies. Thanks Doc! Hey, when is someone going to start talking about ending those evil companies once and for all? That would make this place a utopia!

I live in Washington state, and Harborview Hospital, which handles emergency services and also services for people on welfare has waiting rooms full of muslims. Actually, I don't know how we could have gotten so many on public assistance, but they are sopping up a bunch from the state budget. Which is not to say they are any worse than anyone else sucking off the state, they are just more recognizable when they have their head dress on.

I recently saw a documentary which helped explain that exact thing. If I'm not mistaken it was filmed in Washington. This story focused on pregnancies. Hoards of Middle Eastern women were coming to America to have their babies and get other "free" medical services. Of course, the child is then a US citizen. It was nuts how many people come over here and use loopholes in our medical system to get surgeries and all kinds of things done.

You know, it's as if we see a train coming and just can't stop ourselves from running in front of it.

That's next on the agenda; government ownership of all those evil corporations. Socialism marches on.
