The fact you say "I am an American" is what makes you one of us, we are Americans also.
This new wave of illegals, have an attitude, like we are better than you. They are HIspantic first, last and always.
They are arrogant, demanding, and have not an ounce of manners.
It makes me wonder why, once they are here, they demand services they do not have the guts to demand of their own government.
Thanks for being a proud American, and proud to say it.

A well-written article. BOND seems to be a source for laudable, well-reasoned opinions.

After sitting 2 hours in the Drivers Licensing Agency yesterday, I seen more of it.
The state of Wash "quietly passed a bill to allow illegals to have drivers license" I have been trying to find it all morning to see who drew the bill up and who signed it. I cannot find it. This was about 5-6 weeks ago.
Two thirds there were Hispantics. NO English spoken only Spanish. I asked this guy sitting by me, "How can they get drivers license if they cannot speak English?"
He said " very loudly, If they cannot speak English, they should not be able to get a drivers license"
There was a gal sitting in the row ahead of us, on the end seat, that turned and said something that we could not understand.
When her number was called, she got up, came around her row to where we were and looked at us and said "SHUT UP'
He looked her in the eye and said "You shut up and Sit down"
Lord I thought I was in the middle of a war. lol
There was one examiner that only called the numbers in Spanish, and talked to every one that went up for license in Spanish. She took care of all the Hispantics that were in there, the other two took care of the English Speaking Americans.

"The real reason weve gotten ourselves into this mess is that weve given up our rightful dominion over the political system, the same way weve given it up in our families and in our communities. I particularly urge men to come back -- now -- and tend to their obligations. "Hi AuntB, couldn't say it better myself.

My community, does not want this. They do not want amnesty granted to wetbacks. My community is made of 'hipanics' or whatever they are calling us these days. Hopefully, this is shot down by Tancredo and his friends.Well, let's hear from your community! Let's hear from all those who don't want amnesty.

The title is a little misleading, but a nice piece anyway.

The fed is printing money like never before (The supply of dollars has increased 35% just since Bush took office - look at a
chart of M3), but consumer prices and wages are not going up, they're going down. How is that possible unless cheap imports (of goods and labor) are holding the lid on inflation (for a while)?
Following this line of thinking one step further, the trade imbalance is subtractive to GDP, but government spending is additive. Is it just a coincidence that the $450 billion in deficit spending in 2003 almost exactly balances out the U.S. trade deficit for the year?
Maybe the government had to spend that much money to just to keep the GDP numbers in positive territory and conceal the devastating effects of all those cheap imports.
