Answering a heckler, Democratic presidential front-runner John Kerry said Thursday "I never run away from anything, especially George Bush."

The Massachusetts lawmaker had just received an endorsement from Maine Gov. John Baldacci when somebody from the crowd of about 400 shouted, "Why don't you tell them about your vote on the war and the Patriot Act?"

Do you know that Kerry had cosmetic surgery on his jaw? He had such a lantern shaped jaw he had to chisel it down a little by plastic surgery. This is true! So he more than likely DID have botox injections. What a liar!

He's not too smart. He should have learned his lesson from Howard Dean. People don't like brash in-your-face pompous politicians. You need high likability to be President. Reagan had it. George W. Bush has it. Kerry doesn't.

Kerry is obviously trying to negate the image of democrats being wusses and wimps. Trying to prove how tough he is.

And accept that Kerry's military service is head and shoulders above all other contempory politicians except possibly the equally hated John McCain.

While he was in Vietnam I concede his actions were heroic.

He cancelled them out upon his return to the U.S. and his subsequent anti-war activities and the lies he told.

Consider that many a returning vet was met with contempt by U.S. citizens, due in part to the activities of none other than John F-word Kerry.

He ran away from his war service, and everything that it stood for. He ran away from the rest of the soldiers who fought and died there. He ran away from his marriage and tried to run away from the fact that it ever occurred. He ran away from his ancestry and masked himself in another ethnic group. And he's run away from every political vote he made on important Bills.

"But Kerry and Kennedy intervened,..."

As I said on another thread, I'd like to know how much Kennedy got for his involvement. Of course the media can't be bothered checking that out.

Sens. Carl Levin and Debbie Stabenow of Michigan endorsed Kerry on Thursday.

1. They are bandwagon jumpers.
2. That's another reason not to vote for Stab, Lenin, or Jane Fonda Kerry.

"Surely you have no idea what a stupid statement you have just made. Savage attacks on the honorable military service of a man who earned three Purple Hears and a Silver Star is hardly the way to win friends and influence people."

Sorry, but you're rebuking someone on this thread for doing the same thing that John Kerry did to his fellow soldiers upon his return from Vietnam. His unfounded allegations and "vicious, false insults against people's honest and honorable combat service" is far worse in my estimation that the comment made by #3 Fan.

Yes he did. But he still has his medals on the wall in his office. It was somebody else's medals or just his ribbons that he threw away, take your pick.

I am amazed and ashamed that these 60's anti-war protester's that dishonored us are again in the position to destroy our country legally!!

The problem is that he is basing his whole campaign on his military service implying Bush did run from a fight. This isn't dogcatcher, this is president. If he's saying to vote for him because he doesn't run from fights, we need to see if he's being honest about it. Most of his tour was spent on a ship. Then he volunteered for the swift boat thinking that that was pretty safe and he could further his self-made comparison to JFK. The trouble is the missions for the swift boats was redefined. So he was stuck in a dangerous job. After a battle he complained to the officers that the swift bosts shouldn't be engaging the enemy. Then he left after three scratches and no missed duty which I've never heard a WW2 vet do.

If you're going to complain about honesty, go ahead.

lol I just think that if he's making his service the centerpiece of his campaign that we should see if he's as great as he says he is. This isn't dogcatcher, this is the office of president.

And for what it's worth, at least Howard Dean was against the war all along. The heckler is right -- Kerry voted for the war, and for the Patriot Act. Now, because the anti-war position is popular among the Democrats, he's all of a sudden anti-war again. Bring it on indeed!
