Jim Oberweis has also caught my attention. He has run a few campaign adds here voicing his displeasure with Pres. Bush`s immigration proposal. Here is a link to read about him:

If Kaloogian continues to be the only candidate who is willing to speak out on this issue, then that is the best idea yet!

Great! Let's nominate Kaloogian, so Boxer can have a landslide victory.

PS. At first I kept an open mind about him and considered him as a possibility, but if his best effort is to run around attacking President Bush in an election year, and he and is planning to run a far right campaign, he may get the Republican nomination, but he is going to lose by a landslide to Boxer.

Wanting our borders closed and laws enforced is a "far right" position? Where is he running around attacking Bush? Here's a quote from the story:
While Kaloogian is a strong supporter of the Presidents tax cuts, war on terrorism and national defense policies, he is strongly opposed to the immigration plan.
He's disagreeing with Bush's policies on immigration, as millions of us are. That doesn't mean he's a far right-winger.

Cool - thanks for posting that! I want to see more and more people rally together to oppose:
A) Amnesty for Illegal Aliens
and...
B) Drivers Licenses for Illegal Aliens
Only if the establishment sees growing foment from the base will we knock down these pandering attempts to buy votes from liberals by rewarding those who break the law.

I don't think any other candidate has a chance to beat Boxer but Kaloogian.
Having an "echo" to Boxer or someone who is weak and timid is a surefire way to lose.
Bruce Herschensohn actually performed STRONGER against Boxer than the more liberal Matt Fong.
Boxer is a mean witch of a lady. And you better have a nominee who can hold his/her own against her and be a street fighter.
Only Howard Kaloogian fits that bill! If you want Boxer beat there is no other choice than Kaloogian for U.S. Senate!
To: FairOpinion
Why don't you go start moderates for Jones threads instead of trashing this one?

Howard Kaloogian isnt just a candidate for U.S. Senate against the extremist liberal, Barbara Boxer. Kaloogian is leading an effort to stop Republicans from selling out on the issue of illegal immigration. Good luck Kaloogian. You have your work cut out.

The problem is that most GOP candidates are patsies and panzies. They have no fight in them, are afrain of their own shadowm and would rather die than fight. If they only fought the fight, we would not be all upset over here, because our agenda would be being implemented. Its like Robert the Bruce in Braveheart.

Californians support Howard Kaloogian's stance on immigration issues.
If you want a nominee who can beat Boxer - pick one who is right on the issues on principle and is with the public.
To: NormsRevenge
Ahhh - he just makes more BUMPs to the thread. I don't mind his statements, because the facts are on our side. The moral justification (who is best on the issues) is on our side.
It just makes him look bitter that Kaloogian is starting to rally the base and get some traction.
To: FairOpinion
Kaloogian isn't attacking Bush, he's trying to keep him from making a grave mistake. Since super majorities in CA supported Prop. 187 and opposed the drivers' license bill, this amnesty plan is going to clobber Bush come November. Far from hurting President Bush's re-election effort, Kaloogian's constructive criticism will hopefully help by getting the White House to drop a bad plan.

An excellent analogy. That's it exactly!

I think he is the only person who can beat her! He is NOT running around attacking the president, he is simply stating that this immigration policy is DEAD WRONG.
The last thing we need going into this General Election is a candidate who is nothing more than "Boxer Light", and with George W. spending like a drunk teenager with daddy's credit cards, we certainly don't want another "tax and spender" in the Senate!
