KOGO is carrying a story right now about the local and national Boy Scouts organizations today sueing the city of San Diego and the six city council members who voted for a settlement ($950,000) with the ACLU over the scout's use of city-owned Camp Balboa. Carla Kerr, attorney for the Scouts, said the city, by settling, is violating the Scout's constitutional rights of freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and freedom of association. She also says the city has embarked on a pattern of harrasssment of the Scouts over the past year, demanding money from the Scouts for continued use of Camp Balboa, even though no final judgement has been entered into in the ACLU suit, denying them certain permits that were previously freely granted, etc..

Yay. Hopefully its another $950,000 political correctness bill. But it will have to go to the Supremes because I can already write the 9th Circuit's opinion on this.

Now, if only someone could wield the RICO hammer against the ACLU then we'd be getting somewhere.

The Judges and DA's and other elected officials and appointed officials need to be thrown out - we either get our collective sh*t together now or surrender to Muslim/Liberal control in the next 20 years or sooner. I will be probably dead by then or be picking up a g*n.

I do not remember the little known but specific law - however it goes something like this - if you allow a tresspasser access without legal confrontation for X years - I think it's just a few - over your land then they have a legal right for continued access.
The BScouts camp in Balboa has been in existance for over that time limit.. this I am sure of..
Just another angle to be looked at by the legal wanks supporting them.
Go Boy Scouts.

The BScouts camp in Balboa has been in existance for over that time limit.. this I am sure of.. I could be wrong, but I had the impression they had been paying a symbolic $1 rent per year.
Also, it seems like squatter's rights would not apply to people who use government property.

If you live in San Diego, what's yer thoughts on your fine city wimping out to the ALCU by giving them a cool mil of your hard earned dollars? Majorly pee ohed. And what's especially scummy about this is the fact that they did it behind closed doors. And now there's a story out about how the city has been deliberately underfunding the employee pension plan, and the unfunded liability is at 1.2 billion dollars and climbing. I'd like to flush every member of the council down the toilet at this point.
