U.S. Senator John McCain, who will sit on a commission investigating failures in the intelligence used to justify the Iraq (news - web sites) war, said on Friday he did not believe President Bush (news - web sites)'s administration had manipulated information. If he made up his mind why did he accept the position to review the matter? Don't politicians know that susch statements make us mistrust our govt???

Don't overlook who got us in there in the first place ... Kennedy initiated our involvement in Vietnam and Johnson accelerated the processGoes all the way back to Truman who started to carry water for the French to try and save their colony.

Stephanopolous and Kinsley were on their show Sunday and said, "(Paraphrased) They (Republicans) want to make this a campaign against Dukakis all over again, and they're going to find themselves running against a real war hero along the lines of the first JFK."

Jokers all. Also, can't imagine the dem/libs allowing another person to be referred to as JFK. What will they do if kerry is elected. Refer to JFK as JFK one and then JFK two? Or JFK for John F. Kennedy and then J F'n K for kerry?

Hey, I've got pics of Nixon shaking hands with Mao, Reagan shaking hands with Gorbachev and Rumsfeld shaking hands with Saddam.
