I just keep it simple.

My point was, had the religion been anything other than Christianity that the pilot had suggested, FR would have exploded with "Boycott them!!!", "Only our preferred religion should be discussed!", and all the other usual hypocrisy.

Good one. What I want to know is why were the people scared? Duh.

That was a beautiful comment. Too bad people don't understand that God has given us a job to do. I know the pilot had his heart in the right place - he probably was still on his mountaintop after he came back from the mission trip. Have had that feeling before too.

In the eyes of Jesus, he did the right thing. He may have prompted one or more to commit to a saving faith. I pray for him and his family.

This pilot should confine his preaching to some venue where people are not required to be.. I see no example of the pilot preaching, at all.

You probably know why if you've read True Believer by Eric Hoffer.

Thanks for the book recommend.

You'll probably enjoy reading it. It's a classic; it shows the dynamics of a crusade, showing the basic characteristics of group-think movements.

It's not anti-religious, since the principles are explained using also political and philosophical movements. It's more of a book about us as humans, and how we respond to subtle group pressures.

I don't know what FR would have done. My experience is that anytime a regilious a nonchristian has approached me to witness to me; I used it as an opportunity to witness to that person.

If a Hindu pilot decided to tell people of his religion to raise there hands so they'd be available to discuss their beliefs, I'd be looking to see who I could go and witness to. He'd be saving me time.

And I hope you'd accept that if you cornered anyone on a plane to "witness" to them, you'd be prepared for them to tell you to piss off and leave them alone. Not everyone wants to be cornered and bothered with your "message".
