I don't think his whole body was forged - just the bolts sticking out of his neck.

John Kerry: forged in the fires of Vietnam

Apparently by someone hitting him in the face with a frying pan.

"I was an instrument of a foreign policy with no common sense. I was forced to carry an M-16 to serve that policy,"

Would he have felt better carrying a flamethrower?

Yeah, well, too bad Kerry was ashamed of his service in Vietnam once he returned to the states.

He was not forced to become an officer. If he engaged in actions he believed to be illegal, then he is by definition a war criminal.

Didn't he hunt down and kill a wounded enemy combatant? What's that all about?

"I was an instrument of a foreign policy with no common sense. I was forced to carry an M-16 to serve that policy," he tells campaign rallies.

Did fast boat captains in the Navy have M-16's issued to them?

Methinks this might be 'fabbed' material too ...

Will somebody please tell me WHY the Democrats suddenly love Vietnam vets?

Their hypocricy makes me want to SCREAM. Where were they for the past 30 years?? I'll tell you where they were: they were spitting on our vets and calling them "baby killer", doing their level best to DESTROY them emotionally - and with success - and they were aided and abetted by the rich, Kennedy-affilaited Boston Botox Boy!

ARRRRRGH!! I want to HIT PEOPLE!!

It was to become a defining experience in the life of the 60-year-old US senator .......

Yes, I think it was, and I think it broke him.
I think the experience shattered him and left a pathetic whiner occupying the skin of a brave soldier.

The political John Kerry is the antithesis of the military John Kerry.

I was forced to carry an M-16 to serve that policy," he tells campaign rallies.

He wasn't forced to do anything! Has he conveniently forgotten that he enlisted? Forced would be if he was drafted against his will.
