Why is The Times still covering this putz? They should focus on a more viable candidate, like Ralph Nader.

"I don't know. I don't know what's going to happen in Wisconsin, but we're going to find a way to stay in one way or the other.

Green Party candidacy. Bet money on it. :)

I can't get enough Dean. Seriously, I love watching him like I love those Fox shows that feature shows of really stupid people doing dumb things and hurting themselves badly. The "I have a scream" speech ranks right up there with drunks jumping off hotel roofs and missing the pool or skateboarders overestimating their skills and smashing their face into a metal railing.

I guess I'm weird, but if somebody put out a Wellstoneapalooza DVD, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

GREEN BAY, Wis., Jan. 9 — Reversing his statement to get out of the race if he failed to win Wisconsin's primary on Feb. 17, Howard Dean said today that "it's not going to be the end of the line" and that "we're going to find a way to stay in one way or the other."

I am thrilled to hear it! Now all our "Dean People Suck" t-shirts and buttons won't have been a complete waste of money.

There is only one thing more pathetic than losing the presidential primary battle after having such a strong lead... not having the courage to quit.

Watching Dean campaign every day is kinda like watching Kenny on South Park or Charlie Brown try to kick the football held by Lucy. You know he's going to bite the bullet, but the never-ending variety of ways in which it happens never fails to entertain.

Dean - "My great fear is that John Kerry may not be
the strongest nominee against George Bush, ..."

Is there any chance that Dean is intending merely to
dilute the primary voting, so that Kerry is less likely
to arrive at the convention with the nomination sewn up?

What are the current forecasts on Kerry's capture of
committed delegates?

If the convention doesn't determine a candidate on the
first vote, it basically becomes a back-room gambit,
with the Clintons in likely control of the outcome.
This can't benefit Dean, but it probably won't benefit
Kerry either, unless he is the Clintons' authorized
"designated loser" for 2004.

Bye, bye and good riddance. I am so glad you are out of there, Howie the screamer and pro-euthanasia candidate. The medical field would have become a disaster with you in office. Look at Vermont.
