I don't plan to get involved; after all we have Canadian Grey Wolves here in Idaho.

Which has become a huge crisis.

Someone on FR has been arguing with me about the subject of wolves, using Ted Turners organization as her reliable source. Many people think we are exaggerating, but this wolf introduction has been terrible for Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming.

Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming do not need elk herds nor do
they need cattle grazing on BLM land! The proper way to
control vegetation overgrowth is the way the Indians
did before we ever came to America. Hold a Holy Dance
and pray for lightening to strike the offensive areas.

That way you'll be able to smell the fire smoke all summer
long, breathe the ashes all summer long and get pnumonia in the winter.
Then you'll be dead by the next spring and it will all start over.

Bio-diversity is wonderful, America needs it. If you have
any doubts about this just ask the World Heritage
Foundation, the Sierra Club or the United Nations. All
of these large respected world organizations will agree
with everything I have posted here and we should contribute to them monthly.

Sickening sarcasm........ reminds me of hearing our politicians give speeches, thinking we are ignorant.

I was living up in Alaska when the public outcry over a planned wolf hunt was raised in the lower 48. Travel agencies were threatening boycotts on Alaskan tour packages.

Eventually, the state government came up with the slogan, "Visit Alaska this year or the wolf gets it", showing a picture of a wolf with a gun to its head.

Those were the years we had massive carnage to the wildlife populations. One year it was due to bitter prolonged cold. The temperatures in the interior didn't get above -60F for 21 straight days. A year or so later there was so much snow, animals couldn't forage. Wolves and moose were getting killed by trains and cars by the dozens because they wouldn't get off the tracks or roads due to the hard time they had with the deep snow.

Animal rights activists often don't realize that mother nature can be so cruel and unforgiving and that land can only support so much. Sometimes it's better to have a few die with a bullet than to have whole packs slowly starve to death over the course of a winter because there are too many for the food supplies to support. Such conditions can create more than just a nuisance, but can also increase dangers of fatal altercations with humans.

Don't you just love it when well-intentioned but ignorant people in cities a thousand miles away think they know what's better for you than you do on your own land?

"Someone on FR has been arguing with me about the subject of wolves, using Ted Turners organization as her reliable source...."

We need to get organized here and publish a list of the trolls in our midst, so that we can freeze them out of the debate. This can be done by freep-mailing to those on our enviro/Property rights lists so that all know who they are, and refrain from giving them a foot in the door.
