Maybe Mrs. Christy they should sue the manufacturer for putting whiskey in glass bottles, which shatter when they fall out of backpacks. Our she could sue the glass manufacturers.

Another foibles in what we call "public education."

Melanie Christy is seeking an unspecified amount of damages because her son, Justin Christy, was suspended and then expelled after a fifth of Kentucky Deluxe whiskey fell from his backpack and shattered on the floor during class on Oct. 6, 2003>>

The more web-savvy should post here the picture of Bluto's expression when the guy cleaning out Delta house dropped the case of Captain Jack.

She's going to sue the school board. That's where the money is.

It will all come out in court.

Apparently, the school board didn't consider the other kid's statement when making their decision. Maybe they feel they don't have to. If that's the case, they didn't exercise judgment, but then again, that's the beauty of zero-tolerance rules -- school officials don't have to make a decision. It does, however, make one wonder why they get paid the big bucks.

This kid will probably think twice about public education when it's time to chose a school for his kid.
