Missed it. I catch him once in a while, but he's yet to make a big impact on cable.

I caught the exchange. I thought Miller showed a lot of emotion, but not much solid argument. Ritter said the war was "illegitimate", and Miller came back that he should be more sensitive and use more tact. He didn't say that the claim itself was BS. Just that it was indelicate. I found that to be pretty weak.

The change in Dennis Miller is more typical of the change in Americans in general since 9/11 than the Dims want to believe.

I listened to it as background noise. Guess i really dont care what the child molestor had to say. After ritter the show was kind of boring so i didnt really pay it much attention.

I saw some of that segment and Ritter came across as unsure and nervous. Miller continually impresses me with his delivery and quick wit.

I saw it. Ritter was squirming like the worm he is.

His news act basically sucked. It wasn't funny and no where close to what he did on HBO. I saw the segment with Ritter. Yes, he asked a few questions and dinged him on many subjects but Ritter held his own. It's funny but he actually nailed the Clinton administration for interfering with his work back in the mid to late 90's. I think what Miller was getting at that Ritter had an obligation to report on what he saw while Ritter kept trying to play it off as the principled "UN First" guy who was not there to be a spy.

Miller also made some lame jokes as well during that time....

Miller started off telling Ritter he was going to be fair with him. The Ritter pissed off Miller by saying something about soldiers lives being wasted.

I've never seen Miller get pissed off like that. I liked it!

Help please!!
Scott Ritter is the one who in 1998 put the fear of God into me about Iraq. Now of course he has done a complete 180 degree turnaround. I know there are rummers, i.e. paid off. But has HE ever given an official explanation of the turnaround? It seems to me he made the change even though he has never returned to the country. I would really like to know if he has ever addressed this issue.

Dennis Miller may be a nice enough person, but he still has a foul mouth. They bleeped some of what he said but not all of it. That's not entertainment to me. He should go back to HBO.

Now, before I get bombarded with "but he's pro-Bush", I already know that. I exercised my 'change the channel' option.

What reason has Ritter given for the turnaround? Surely he has not admitted to it being about money. Has anyone ever asked him?

I saw part of it. I watched the Ritter interview. I almost turned the channel in disgust when I saw that Ritter would be his guest, then I realized that Miller would not go easy on Ritter, so I decided to watch. I wasn't disappointed.

I watched the varsity segment also, and enjoyed it. For once, there were no rude people interrupting each other. I can't tell you who was on the panel or what they discussed, but it was pleasant. LOL.

Yes...because, if it were your tv show...you could do it so much better than Dennis. LOL!

Miller is a fiscal and military conservative, not a social or moral conservative, so it doesn't surprise me that he has a foul mouth. He seems to use it when he's angry. I don't like it, but I'm glad to have his sharp wit in the conservative camp. He's still feeling his way, but he'll get better with time.

He's been asked by O'Rielly at least once. The usual responses were given. DENY DENY DENY.

He's been asked. My recollection is that he's either changed the subject or denied that he's done a 180.

Didn't see it. I assume Ritter was in full "I-told-you-so" mode re missing WMD and if so I'm glad I missed it.

Miller has been generally great but I was surprised when on an earlier show this week he said using the Kerry/Fonda angle against Kerry was "crap." Like many others, he seems to be mesmerized by the fact that Kerry saw action in Vietnam and deems him to therefore be off-limits regarding questions about his attitude to military and/or patriotism.

Also his attitude re ssm has been a letdown. But still, he is a wonderful antidote to the Bill Mahers and other uber-liberals infesting the media.

I fell in love with Dennis Miller last night. He is awesome. He's charming, funny, and has common sense. He is very affable and is better able to get his point across than other conservatives such as Hannity or Ann Coulter. Coulter has amazing wit, but her points are not as easily digestable as Dennis Miller's. Hannity is entertaining but a little too intense for moderates. Dennis Miller is a down to earth, lovable guy.
