And this capture must be a big morale boost for the Iraqi police force. I suspect we'll see more and more of this - the Iraqi police and ICDC generating their own intel and acting on it by themselves, with our guys functioning as backup and heavy fire-support where needed.

I agree. The Iraqis are looking forward to the freedom we've offered and are working hard to help achieve that goal. This was a major step, no doubt.

There is an AFP report that sounds kind of flaky to me about two Iraqi's arrested north of Mosul in Ninevah province at a checkpoint carrying a "barrel of uranium." When I did a google search on Ninevah province I noted that number 41 was Ba'ath party chairman of that province. Probably just a coincidence, but it makes you go hmmmmmmmmm.

I don't know whether you noticed here:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1079004/posts that "soldiers conducted a raid of a target house in Ar Ramadi to capture Mohammed Aatiry. Aatiry is suspected of providing a safehouse and facilitating the movements of Jalil Habbush. The operation was conducted successfully and resulted in the capture of the primary target."
Jalil Habbush is #16 Tahir Jalil Habbush al-Tikriti LTG
Director, Iraqi Intelligence Service (IIS)!!! It looks like our guys are close to getting another card.

There is a story from the Guardian from about a week ago posted here:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1073645/posts that has more information about Tahir Jalil Habbush and a failed attempt to get him to lead a coup against Saddam. Also a lot of info regarding WMD. Reliable? I don't know at all.
