Question: Does anyone know anything about MOVE.org?

Posted on 02/16/2004 6:02:57 AM PST by tomball

Just out of curiosity, every morning between the hours of 6 and 10 a.m., the morning news show in my area is inundated with anti-Bush tv commercials sponsored by a group called "moveon.org." These commercials started airing back in November right around the local election time. Does anyone know anything about this group?

You have never heard of moveon? They started as a internet site petitioning to just censure Clinton and move on without an impeachment. They now have $5 million dollars of billionare Soros money to spend on ads. The claim to be a grassroot mainstream organization, but are really a far-leftist american-hating group.

How could you not know about moveon.org?

Does any of this sound familiar? George Soros... $12.5 million to defeat Bush... CBS turns down moveon ad during superbowl...????

Is anything ringing a bell here?

Maybe you have been in Kenya hiding out for a few months?

Run a google search - or just read a bunch of FR threads - there's a wealth of material about this group. Mainly it's being financed by Hungarian born George Soros who has pledged his BILLIONS to getting President Bush out of office. They are known for their dirty politics, lies and socialists views.

I know they doctored the finalists page of their "Bush in 30 Seconds" contest and lied about it later. They claim the Hitler ads were not finalists in that contest when there is good reason to think they were.

Yes. I have been under a rock for quite awhile. Due to circumstances beyond my control (deaths in family, business, etc.), the last thing on my mind is a media blitz from some left wing crack heads. This morning it just dawned on me that these commercials have been airing for months without any counter. (On FOX, no less.)

The spot that aired this morning was just too much. It was the implication of George Bush being hooked up to a lie detector test with the needle winging off the charts every time he spoke. (Based on what I've read here so far, that commercial is mild compared to what has been airing.)

Thanks to all for the education.

MoveOn is the registered name of a societal laxative.   It's slogan is: Cleaning Out What's Left.

Does anyone know anything about MOVE.org?

It's a trade association of laxative manufacturers...

I'm sorry for your loss. And welcome back.

I was trying not to sound too harsh (I apologize if I did), but I couldn't believe that a FReeper from 1998 hadn't heard of Moveon. Perform that FR search, you'll be amazed.
