"For the last several days I have seen Internet and tabloid rumors relating to me and Senator John Kerry. Because these stories were false, I assumed the media would ignore them. It seems that efforts to peddle these lies continue, so I feel compelled to address them. I have never had a relationship with Senator Kerry, and the rumors in the press are completely false. Whoever is spreading these rumors and allegations does not know me, but should know the pain they have caused me and my family. I am in Kenya with my fiance visiting his family, and we ask that the press respect our privacy and leave all of us alone."

Depends on the definition of "relationship". Same story, different day.

Relationship in her context infers some sort of an ongoing affair. She did NOT say she never had sex with him.

I'll you this - here is what I can't stand about Dem leaders; this is probably not the first nor the last we will hear of a story like this. It just takes time and attention off the real issues. I think that bugged me about Bill Clinton more than anything else - all the time and money he wasted because he couldn't see his way to honoring his marriage vows. Just a huge waste of time for all involved. And, it reminds me how they tried to do this to Gov Bush at one time, and he had to say flat out to the press, no, he's never been with anyone, and that was carried on network tv. You'd never see a flat out denial like that from Dem leaders though. There's always another chapter it seems. Just a waste.

Maybe the parents are saying this because the story was BS from the beginning.

Or they're trying to save their little girl from worldwide infamy, like that of Lewinsky and Chandra.

So? This proves nothing except that we need to keep looking into the matter. If it's fair to keep grilling Dubya on his Guard duty, it's fair to keep grilling Kerry on this.

"...Because these stories were false, I assumed the media would ignore them."

Why would you assume that?

BTW: Is it possible this denial of hers is a very subtle way of telling old Horseface that he needs to start Enzyte treatments?

She did NOT say she never had sex with him.

Good catch. Time to parse the Carvillian statements.

I wonder how much those two votes cost.

Free Heinz condiments for life x3.

Oh, I left out one little detail. The packing material in the monthly delivery boxes are crisp $1,000 bills.

She says the stories are "false." I think that is a denial from her.

"We have spoken to our daughter and the allegations that have been made regarding her are completely false and unsubstantiated. We love and support her 100 percent and these unfounded rumors are hurtful to our entire family. We appreciate the way Senator Kerry has handled the situation, and intend on voting for him for president of the United States."

Didn't take them long to drink the koolaid.

We need to be careful here........this could be a set up to discredit the right.

Someone it seems has talked to the parents.

Er, so the Kerry campaign's claims to have a letter from her denying it was a LIE?

'Unfortunately our media is made up of steers."

Some of whom love the smell of cash.

No way this will not be fully brought out in the open, and the sooner the better ....... for Mr. Kerry.

The longer it takes for the truth to come out the closer to the election it will be.

Of course if it comes out after the election ......... well you understand, I'm sure.

The press is reporting the denial of something which the press didn't report to begin with?

That's a good thing. It indictes that alternative sources of information are becoming more prevalent, and the so-called "mainstream" media is losing its grip on virtual information monopoly.
