Does it say which border crossing? I'm 20 miles from the big one in Vermont.

I caught that on FOX news about an hour ago. Personally I'm not too concerned about what comes thru our regulated border crossings. It's what passes unnoticed in unregulated crossings.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,111574,00.html BLAINE, Wash. The biggest northern border crossing west of Detroit was closed Monday after Canadian guards found explosives in a car entering the country from the United States, Canadian customs officials said.
They did not specify what type of explosives was found.
A Canadian customs spokeswoman, Paula Shore, told Northwest Cable News the vehicle tried to cross into Canada from the United States at the Peace Arch border crossing (search). She gave no further details; neither she nor customs spokeswoman Faith St. John immediately returned calls seeking comment.
Mike Milne, a Seattle-based spokesman for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (search), confirmed the border crossing at Blaine had been shut down in both directions after the car was stopped at 1 p.m., but he declined to comment on what the Canadian guards may have found.
A Royal Canadian Mounted Police (search) official told Fox News a grenade was found.
Traffic was routed a few miles east to Pacific Highway, which has a border crossing typically used by commercial trucks.
About 8 million vehicles cross at Blaine, the northern end of Interstate 5, every year

Hmmm. The car was entering Canada. Maybe our secret invasion has finally begun.

Betcha it was a smoke grenade --- an uncontrolled and legal non-explosive smoke-emitting canister.

West of Detroit? Excuse me, how does one cross "west of Detroit?" It could be north, it could be east, it may be sligthly southwest...
Where'd they cross? Ann Arbor?

Two things lept out when I saw this. First she claims that her husband is in the military and she didn't know the grenade was in the glove box. Uh-huh. I suppose he was bringing his work home, right?
Second, she claims that she was going north across the border to get to Vancouver, WASHINGTON, not Vancouver, BC. Uh-huh. Vancouver, WA is almost 300 miles in the other direction.

I wonder how many homes in America have explosives that are
being hiden by illegal immegrants? Today the fight against
terrorism and tomorrow we may be facing Mexico. The only problem with Mexico is they are here and packed into homes
just waiting for a fight.
Our borders have got to be closed and soon, Mexico is becoming a bigger and bigger threat to this country. We will
be fighting a war on American soil and many innocent people
will be killed because our politicians need votes.
ONE LEGAL OR ILLEGAL MEXICAN VOTE IS WORTH MORE TO OUR POLITICANS THAN THE LIVES OF MILLIONS OF INNOCENTS AMERICANS. MEN,WOMEN OR CHILDREN THE POLITIICANS JUST DON'T
CARE, A VOTE AT ALL COST.
POLITICIANS WANT VOTES
DOCTORS AND HOSPITALS WANT BODY PARTS.
If the politicians don't kill us for votes the Doctors and nurses will gladly do it for body parts.
